I recently spoke with one of the Eels players (I'm not going to say who). I made a little small talk about how things are looking up for Parra and how it appears to be exciting times ahead with Foran coming next year and sorting out the salary cap. He agreed that it'll be good once our cap is sorted, but went silent at the mention of Foran. He kinda shifted his eyes and there was an awkward pause. At the time, I assumed it was awkward due to the suggestion that one single player can make the difference (in a team game).
I'm now wondering if the players know something we don't? Perhaps like the end of last year, where a number of players supposedly knew Hayne was leaving, resulting in half the team making little effort against the Raiders game in the final round.
I wouldn't have bothered posting this information, except for all this drama surrounding Foran which has exploded today.

There's probably nothing in it, though that awkward pause at the mention of Foran is something I've been thinking about. I kinda feel like "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is" with Foran coming to the Eels on a 4 year contract. Especially after seeing how good he was on Friday night.
I think it is fair enough to bring this point to the table GP - in Hindsight, there may or may not be truth to your observations - but since, as you say, the whole Foran drama is exploding in our face - all and any info is relevant at this early stage IMO
