Despite not being in the finals, the front house issues, the salary cap cheating and the all out media bashing. I could not be prouder to be a Parramatta supporter. The resilience this team, the players, staff and coach have shown throughout this debacle of a year has been outstanding - the determination they showed week in and week out, showing up for not just the fans but each other.
In the face of injury, suspensions and critical assault from the media, I can't help but provide a standing ovation to the players and Brad Arthur.
Who'd have thought come end of this season, we'd see Foran, a previously considered level headed leader, meltdown and leave, an under 20's player make a massive foot print in first grade (out scoring Judas himself in less games), Judas making his return and us supporters happy that it wasn't with us, a winger turn centre turn potential future five eight and Corey Norman sucking it dry bruh.
If this team we've built after this years tumultuous run, plays with the same amount of heart, we will go far next year. Seeing Brad Arthur get the recognition he deserves for being a phenomenal coach. Not because of how he manages things during adversity, but for the Football Team that he coaches and the results he receives.
I know it's a very cliche thing to say as a Parramatta supporter, that next year will be better. But I think this is the first time in a long time that I say this with real confidence, no salary cap issues hovering over us, no uncertainty with our squad. Things look strong.

Absolutely, the best year we've had since 2009.
When you consider the degree of adversity the team and club has had to overcome it is so heartening to go into the off season withsuch a positive view to the future.
I hope the boys wake up from mad Monday and can finally see the light at the end of the dark tunnel of 2016.
I have never been prouder to follow the Eels, 2017 here we come!
Exactly right. Kenny encapsulated that in the post match saying they'd be better for it after the year that they have had.
very proud of the boys
Good blog mate :)
Agree mate the team has done us proud - it's been one hell of a ride!
Can't say i'm not glad it's over though - it was tidal wave after tidal wave of controversy and mayhem. I need a rest.
We will be talking about this season, the season from hell, for many years to come :)
They are just magnificent!
