We all know who it will be, they changed the rules in order to get him in. Cam Smith and i have no issue with that since i have him the 2nd best player i have seen and best Hooker of all time. He has a list of achievements, yes the salary cap drama but still 420 NRL games, captained Australia and Queensland, won Dally M's and 3x Premierships, captain in all of them including 9 GFs.

Living in Brisbane the media have only mentioned Qld players as possible options for the new immortal. It is like there are no NSW players worthy despite the Eels and Canterbury dominating the 80s they want Alfie, Lockyer, Cam Smith or JT. Sterlo and Kenny would be before Alfie and Fittler before Lockyer but no mention at all.

When the Olympics start in a few weeks the news report the Qld medal tally first despite athletes representing Australia. Growing up in NSW I didn't know which state athletes were from they were all Australian and that all that mattered. I find it disgraceful when they do it
