In the previous 6 matches we have been flogged in the penalty count. Partricularly Mat Cecchin is reffing us.
Today w started off with a 5-0 penalty count, but still looked like the Eels of old could not score a try. It was not until the second try by Jennings that we started to gain confidence. As the match went on we started to really play well.
Its a pity that the game depends on the favourable penalties to gain momentum.
I think w have turned the corner and the players now have the confidenc to kick on.
One player I have bagged (amongst many) this season, Manu Mau had an outstanding game.
Who replaces Hayne on the wing?

Yep we got the 50:50s today and opposition were pinged when they were offfside.
Dont expect the same next week
I was listening to the game while working and couldn't believe we got the calls. It helped us to build confidence.
Don't expect it next week, we play a very strong and popular Tigers team, even i'm enjoying them winning the way they are. We will have to dig extremely deep to beat the tigers, no whinging though lets enjoy this week :)
But what did Moses say at half time and Norman at full time. We were more disciplined. We stopped getting offside or being lazy in the ruck and got pinged less for offside and holding in the ruck.
Yes, the flow of penalties can of course swing possession and too lopsided a possession count hurts a team. But our players were all saying discipline was the problem and they fixed it THIS game and won by 30 odd. Should not the headline be the difference discipline can make?
