souths forward pack just showed tonight that there monter pack focused on the game and running hard
gave them the platform to win against the dogs.getting over the advantage line and the second rowers running the right lines close to the line at the smaller defenders. Its not hard. Probably the easiest concept in rugby leage. put your big fellas onto the little fellas at full speed. sam burgess just ripped them up tonight.
Cnt tell me poore, moi moi , manah and ben smith cant run hard at defenders and make metres they just arent commited to the cause( well fui is, but thats about it)
And they are rushing up and hitting hard in the middle of the field. Big forwards making big hits. and running hard.
This rabbits pack has been talked up and has under performed till tonight. they finally fired and just ran up the field pushing the dogs back all game. the play the ball was fast as all hell.
Take a look parra forwards. its not hard. run hard hit harder. thats ur only job.thats what ur paid to do. so do it. simple as that.
I will add to this isaac luke was able to open up the dogs all night because of the speed and power the bunnies showed in the forwards. matt keating is a slug but infront of a forward pack doing their job he will get better.not to mention what jarryd will be able to do once our forwards pull there socks up.

As most sensible folks on this forum have said, if our forwards can gain ascendency - and we know they can based on last year - the offloads will come, the field will open up, our confidence will return, and we'll start winning again!
Parra do not have the same size pack to replicate that plan, however a little more focus on the simple things (line speed, kick-chase, bending the line, holding the ball in your own half, completion rate) will make us more competitive and start to turn the tide.
I'm not too worried yet, but we'll see after round 6.
