souths forward pack just showed tonight that there monter pack focused on the game and running hard

gave them the platform to win against the dogs.getting over the advantage line and the second rowers running the right lines close to the line at the smaller defenders. Its not hard. Probably the easiest concept in rugby leage. put your big fellas onto the little fellas at full speed. sam burgess just ripped them up tonight.

Cnt tell me poore, moi moi , manah and ben smith cant run hard at defenders and make metres they just arent commited to the cause( well fui is, but thats about it)

And they are rushing up and hitting hard in the middle of the field. Big forwards making big hits. and running hard.

This rabbits pack has been talked up and has under performed till tonight. they finally fired and just ran up the field pushing the dogs back all game. the play the ball was fast as all hell.

Take a look parra forwards. its not hard. run hard hit harder. thats ur only job.thats what ur paid to do. so do it. simple as that.

I will add to this isaac luke was able to open up the dogs all night because of the speed and power the bunnies showed in the forwards. matt keating is a slug but infront of a forward pack doing their job he will get better.not to mention what jarryd will be able to do once our forwards pull there socks up.

  • Yes fantastic to see the bunnies go bloody hard . They are top 8 for sure and i tip top 4 . Eels take notes and do it next game ok .
  • We need to get rid of mateo and cayless and replace them with a couple of big boppers with mongrel cause we just get monstered every game.
  • I was thinking the same thing. We aren't the only team struggling to perform to expectations. I think most members of this site would agree that the Bulldogs will be there abouts at the end of the year (despite the 1 from 4 record) so why can't we do it.
    • Just visited The Kennel for a sticky beak and the gist of the comments were pretty similar to ours. What is wrong? Bulldogs are NRL easy beats, need to get rid of deadwood , they have no passion, put money on the Warriors next week etc...one member commented that Parramatta were going worse than the Bulldogs (because we got beaten by the Sharks) so just because you look good on paper you can still play like crap.
      • One member wants Hannant to F@#k off back to Qld...IMO he was their best player...the Kennel is just like this website, you just need to substitute the teams and names of the players.
        • Haha he was easily their best player. Fans vent it's not a surprise when parra aren't putting everyone on the site become nrl tactic coaches but we need to be worried at this rate. And we can only talk about how things are right now..... Parra and the dogs are no chance of any sort of finals and definantly no premiership. There's no point sitting back and saying dw we will b there. All the Panick on both sites should be expected from 2 of Sydney strongest clubs that basiclly played out our own gf last year and are both 1-4. I think we will b ok this year but. These wires would be pretty boring if all the blogs were about imagining how good we will get and not talking about real issues. Ps. Screw the dogs :-p I hope they get te wooden spoon
          • Sorry iPhone update. U meant these sites. Not wires. :s
        • There's a report in The Australian today that Cayless makes more yards and does more tackles than Poore and drops less ball and gives away less penalties than Fui. Making him our best prop. Just as an aside....
  • No we don't - stop making the same boring remark in every thread!! Mateo is a class act but is out of form and Cayless is out-performing all but FuiFui - and even that's a close run thing!

As most sensible folks on this forum have said, if our forwards can gain ascendency - and we know they can based on last year - the offloads will come, the field will open up, our confidence will return, and we'll start winning again!
  • The Bunnies were excellent last night. Simple game plan played to their strengths..

Parra do not have the same size pack to replicate that plan, however a little more focus on the simple things (line speed, kick-chase, bending the line, holding the ball in your own half, completion rate) will make us more competitive and start to turn the tide.

I'm not too worried yet, but we'll see after round 6.

LB replied to Johnny Suede's discussion Canterbury hooker Reed Mahoney to join Cowboys on long-term deal
"Oh I see, I don't think so. As Dogs have known for sometime that Mahoney is on the move, if they wanted Da Silva they could get a deal done. A player can want to play there but doesn't mean the club is interested.
Everyone knew Mahoney was not going…"
