MITCHELL Moses is not the only Wests Tigers player who could be playing against his future club on Easter Monday.Winger David Nofoaluma revealed he had met Eels coach Brad Arthur a couple of times about a switch next season, and was impressed by his vision for Parramatta.Nofoaluma has started the season in brilliant form for the Tigers and set himself the huge task of “becoming the best winger in the game’’.While Tigers officials move heaven and earth to retain James Tedesco and skipper Aaron Woods, they are also mindful not to let Nofoaluma slip through their fingers.Moses has agreed to terms with the Eels and could join them as early as next week.PAUL KENT: Why signing silly season helps NRL18TH MAN: Maguire’s concern over planThe 23-year-old Nofoaluma, who has already amassed more than 1000m in six games, said the Tigers were his preference, but he was also impressed by the blue and golds.“I’ve spoken with him (Arthur) and we’ve had a few talks,’’ Nofoaluma said.“There are a lot of positive things that you hear from him and Mitch has told me the same thing.“He’s really keen on building something at Parramatta, and I’ve taken on the things he’s discussed with me.“You’ve got to weigh up your options and make a decision when the time comes.LEAGUE CENTRAL PODCAST: The Gold Coast Titans to make the eight! Plus a full preview of Round 7“It’s interesting because me and Mitch play on the same side of the field. I don’t see any harm if that was to happen, me and him would still have a good combination.“It all comes down to the best offer and making the best decisions.“Obviously Mitch has made a decision and there are reasons behind that that I don’t know.“I’m hoping to get three years for stability. It gives me time to focus on footy and not worry about contracts — not worrying that I’m coming off contract next year or the year after, but that I have three years to focus purely on one club.”Nofoaluma has been the Tigers best player this season.Nofoaluma is not the tallest winger in the NRL but had no problems busting tackles and is rock-solid under the high ball. The Eels will lose winger Semi Radradra at the end of the season, or possibly as early as round nine should he be found guilty of domestic violence charges.Nofoaluma put his form down to “wanting to become the best winger in the game’’.“I want to be up there and noticed as one of the good players, and I’m doing everything I can, whether it be at training or in the game, to do that,’’ he said.“Obviously coming off contract, you want to be playing to what you’re valued and get the best coin you can these days.“I knew from the get-go (this pre-season) I wanted to be one of the top wingers — if not the top three wingers in the comp — and I came with that mentality at the start of the season, and what I expected, it’s happening.’

  • Very interesting chief...can we read much into this? Or is he trying to up his price..?
  • I think we will get him. Best replacement for semi
  • Interesting comments on the combination with Moses, seems pretty confident.
  • I have a couple of major concerns about this possible signing.

Firstly, what side of the field is he likely to play?  If BA is thinking of a direct swap with Semi and to play him on the left outside Jennings then I think it is a total waste of money, complete waste, and I hope we don't sign him.  If he is listed to play on the right then it is a very good signing and I support it 100%.  We have seen Jennings completely and utterly stifle the game of Semi, therefore I would think the same would happen with Nofoaluma.

Secondly, I have heard he would be getting around 150K more then what Semi is currently on.  If that is true then why wasn't Semi offered extra money?

    • Well said Big Dave on all fronts!

    • Hoffman will shift to Semi's wing, its where he played before.

Parra did offer Semi more money but just couldn't compete with 750k from Toulon.

    • Semi was offered 550k and it was on the table for a long time Dave, hes currently mid 300's i think.

    • Moses plays right side doesn't he? If so then nofa would be on takas wing
