Watching parts of last night's game between Raiders vs Tigers I can't help but feel for the Tigers fans, players and coaching staff and also Papali (ex Eels) who was penalized for his tackle on Jamal Fogarty which gave the Raiders the win. I felt the Tigers were robbed of victory by some very poor refereeing decisions even though the Tigers were given quite a lot of 6 agains. What are your thoughts?

I felt bad that they lost cause of the penalty too. But if you accidently hit someone in the head it's a penalty. I suppose you could apply the same logic to attacking the kickers legs.

As much as it sucked that the penalty handed the Faiders the win, it was the correct call.
Whether he meant to make contact with Fogs legs is irrelevant. The fact is, he made contact with the kickers legs after the kick therefore a penalty was correctly awarded.
The call had to be made as per the current interpretation. However, they were very much robbed by the ref initially letting a heap go in the ruck. Then he all of sudden changed his mind and started to get Canberra for ruck infringments, which they had been doing all game anyway. A team earns the right to a quick play the ball if they dominate post contact metres. Tackle complete, play the ball. Sadly this is not our game anymore and often teams win based on blatent cheating in the ruck.
Nah, I hate Pricky just as much as the typical Eels supporter, but the Tigers were masters of their own destiny. Pap's knows not to touch the kickers leg, it was stupid in the extreme, could have dived just in front instead of at his legs. Second - that last play was diabloical and looked like a bunch of chooks with their heads missing. Dumb Footy, and dumb leadership when it matters. " bit like us in those situations at times". Deserved to lose even if i wanted them to win. I also didnt like that " smart ass" comments and actions against the Raiders when they got back into the game from some of their players. Put your head down and make it happen instead of this new age mocking that the Bro culture is into at the moment.

They've been getting some extra assistance from referees and bunker in my opinion
