Wenty vs Penrith - Post Grade Review

Great win today for Wenty that moves them into the top 8 (3 wins + bye).

- Hoffman at fullback was the man of the match in my opinion and looked a step above everybody else.  He probably did enough to replace George Jennings if George has a quiet game today.

- Evans was busy and it was good to see him play 60 minutes.

- Marata had his best ever defensive game and now looks like he has the core fitness to step up and play in the NRL.

- King had some nice plays and steered the forwards around well.

- Davis was dangerous and did plenty of forward style hit ups when his forwards were struggling.

- Stone was busy in defence.

- Gafi was very solid and one of the best RMC players in the team.

....

When you consider Scott, Auva'a, French, Brown, Moeroa were unavailable and Salmon is bidding his time returning from injury in the u20's, it was a very good win against a very strong ISP Penrith team.  Well done Cayless.

  • Type-o.  Post Game Review :(

  • Evan had a good game against smaller man

Stone looking I be put him on the Bench on NRL level to see how he goes

    • - Penrith had some huge forwards.  Penrith always have a strong ISP forward pack.

      - Stone plays strong.  Just needs some more size to compete better in attack, but will play NRL.

      - Marata looks the fittest I've ever seen.  I was very impressed with is front on defence.

      - Hoffman did enough to return to the top team.

  • Davis, king, evans and hoffman were standouts
    • Hoffman will replace Hayne next week.

  • You're an idiot rubbish blog stone and nikore not NRL stranded
    • Thanks for your input.  I didn't say Stone was ready for NRL.  Even though Nuikore may now be fit enough to play NRL doesn't mean he will be selected in front of the guys on the bench.  Don't forget Brown will come back next week so someone will be dropped, win lose or draw.

  • So what was the score?

    • 16 to 14, a close defensive oriented game.
