Wenty Vs Bulldogs Questions?

Did anyone watch the game?

Any standout performances?

I think there will have to be some players dropped from NRL after some of the performances against the Titans.

Personally I think Watmough should be dropped. Good player but his loose carry and sideways running are causing problems. He's lost too much weight and is getting monstered.

I know Watmoughtwon't get dropped but someone should be.

Terepo is playing as our best forward at the moment so I can't see him dropping out.

With Pauli Pauli, Moeroa and Fa'aoso all in contention it makes for interesting selection this week.

I'm thinking Hopoate also needs to move to centre. How is Quinlan going could he come in as fullback?

Lot's of questions but I think now is the time that BA needs to ask some serious questions.

I unfortunately missed the game due to a wedding but I hear that Moeroa, Pauli and Fa'aoso played well. Only thing is, we don't want to tweak their injuries this early in the season. Agree with the Hopo situation, he is a much better centre than full back.

I watched the game.. Fa'asoso will be picked this week.. some crazy shots on some large fellas. Luke kelly surpisingly was really composed. apart from his 1 foward pass and kick out on full which is textbook. Paulli was killing it out on the edge. Merora was his at his best making heaps of metres and carrying 3/4 blokes everytime.. Paulli was running beautiful lines and crisp passing which lead to a try. Fabian goodal was really strong as a centre. dont understand why he is not picked over ryan morgan! super quick! ryan matterson is proper too. personally think he could fill j paulo's role as a lock playing 5/8

  Agree that 100% with you comments mate. Moeroa and Pauli should be definates based on their performance. If Fa'aoso gets a call up I think he can only replace Lussick if the other 2 are included. He might need a week or 2 more at Wenty.

Fa'asoo was solid and the big stand out! aggresive and lifted in defence on his own try line. almost like darcy lussick but without stup penalties (actually one penalty when he had the ball on own 40 metre line and palmed a guy off after being takled to his face. looked like he got manhandled with one hand the oppsoing player looked like his biatch)

Defiantly think its time to get Hoppa back to centre.

Happy to give Quinlan a shot at FB

Pauli was strong as was Faaoso but it was against a reserve team.

Tepai needs to stay in Wenty and get himself right.

Goodall was good but not great so Id stick with Folau if Takas not back.

Obviously the above also depends on 2nd tier cap which may be an issue too.

Go I hope Taka's back.

Talk about Rose coloured glasses for some of you lot geez!!! Ritchie was good in his comeback but I don't know if I would be touting as our saviour. Also I cannot belive someone saying Luke Kelly was composed. He is just dreadful! So many passes to or almost to ground and non existent kicking game I cannot believe how terrible he is. I would prefer a young kid with some potential even if he is not as good just yet.

Agree with giving Ritchie a go in FG but after watching the game it played like a typical NSW Cup game and a long way behind NRL in standard.

  Steve, a lot of our NRL squad are presently a long way behind NRL standard. Some players if only to give them a kick up the backside need to go back to Cup. Same squad, same result. I agree that Kelly isn't the answer. Our bench is small and ineffective though so to take IDG and Jo Paulo out for Moeroa and Pauli is a positive IMO. Our backs are also slow. Folau got burnt several times at centre, play him on the wing at best, give Goodall who was good a chance, can't be much worse.

  Folau has played 2 games an one was out of position and you want to dump him. Better yet for someone with zero games experience? I agree our backs are lacking but I don't think that is the answer. I personally think our side looks better with Degois on the paddock he cleans up a lot of work around the ruck!
  I think we'll be a much better side with Semi and Taka back.
