WENTY - FINGERS CROSSED THIS WEEKEND

Good luck to Wenty this weekend for the last game of the regular season.  Wenty are currently running 9th and they need to beat the Panthers and for the Bulldogs to beat Illawarra to sneak into 8th spot for the semi's.

As Illawarra and the Bulldogs play the day prior the Wenty team will know prior to running out on Sunday if they can make the semi's, which starts a week earlier then the NRL and u20's semis.  Illawarra have a poor for and against so Wenty will still make the 8 on the same points.

If Scott and K.Pritchard play on Thursday night I hope whoever drops out plays on Sunday for Wenty to give themselves every chance on playing in the semi's.

Go Wenty!

  • Go wenty, it would be awesome to have wenty in the finals
    • I'd like to see Scott, Kaysa, Hoffman and Vave play for Wenty this Sunday.  I'd be very hesitant to play Scott or Kaysa against Brisbane if they past fitness tests as the game will be very fast/physical and they will struggle to keep up.  Ease both injured guys back through Wenty and they will also be able to play greater minutes in the slower game and then bring both back for the Souths game.

  • I think Scott, Kaysa and Vave will play for Wenty this weekend.  Its a surprise with Morris as I have seen a lot of him and not sure why he has fallen out of favour. Maybe Morris is struggling with an injury.

I'm very surprised Gower is named on the bench for the NRL as Folau has become a lot better player then Gowie.  You would think Gower will drop off the bench for someone on the extended bench (Vave should be in front of Gowie this game).

  • I think Vave will play gower play for wenty and any wenty do not deserve to make the 8 i think after last week they had a good side had the lead i think they were winning 24 to 8 with 15 mins to go and lost

"Trial form means nothing but it certainly doesn't hurt to win either. I mean that's precisely what both teams are trying to do in a trial match. Winning is infectious. "

It doesn't change the better part of the last three years, but we won the 2026 Witzer Pre-season Challenge on the back of some encouraging trial form.
