Weller killing it in the UK

WELLER HAURAKI is expecting a tough physical encounter this afternoon as Crusaders take part in their first-ever play-off match.

Crusaders make the journey to the Galpharm Stadium (3.45pm) to take on Huddersfield after clinching their place in the top eight with a 30-24 victory over Hull KR in their final match of the regular season.

And Hauraki, who has impressed during his maiden season in Super League after being released by Parramatta Eels to ease their salary cap, is relishing the battle up front.

The 6ft 1ins Kiwi second-row has made a real name for himself in Super League and has become a real fans’ favourite for his big hits and barn-storming runs.

And he expects a tough encounter today against a well- drilled Giants pack.

  • Ahhh makes me happy and annoyed. Great to see hes finally playing to his potential.
  • i always liked weller. happy to see him doing well.
  • Good to see that he is doing well :)
Wouldn't mind having him back at our club, as he was good in the limited game-time he had for us.

Agreed with FFMM that he seems to be living up to the very potential that we knew he once would.
  • why am i not suprised to hear this sort of information?
guess its because im used to good players leaving and performing well elsewhere
  • Goes to show you the difference in standards between the two comps.
  • With all due respect 1eyed, I think it is fair to say that I would be a revelation in the UK Super league, and I am an unfit fat arse!
  • He can make "barnstorming runs" now?
  • anyone looks good in the super league
  • good call. weller is still shit
  • Oh stop whining!! He was rubbish for us and deserved to be punted! If we'd kept him, it would have been at the expense of a much better player who'd be killing it for a real footy team, not the Dartmoor Druids or Cornwall Churls!!
