Well there goes the Flanagan theory

The Canberra Raiders have reportedly reached out to Chad Townsends management and enquired on the stars availability. This news comes days after promising young halfback Kyle Flanagan re-signed a long term deal which will keep him in the shire until the end of the 2021 season.

Despite this, Townsends management is believed to have told the Canberra Raiders he is not available anytime soon. He is currently contracted to the Cronulla Sharks until the end of the 2020 season on roughly $550K a year.

  • He lives opposite me and he loves the beach so he won't go anywhere

  • Contracts don't mean much and 4 players doesn't go into 2 positions very well. Townsend, Johnston, Moylan and Flanagan are all halves and Moylan has always said he wanted to play in halves. If sharks unable move 1 of the others I can see Moylan leaving.
  • Moylan will go back to fullback.
