I'm sitting here an hour and a half later and feeling....well? ......I am not hurting like I can after we have been beaten by one of the good sides.
I wonder why? Maybe all the stars aligned for Canterbury, they could do little wrong and Parra could do little right....sometimes fate takes us down that path.
Whilst not surprised by the "vitrolic" on here against the coach and to a lessor extent the team and finally the players..... I wonder why we cannot accept that "shit happens".
Where do we go from here... the analysis will run with examining the coach and our "wonderful spine" (who Wiz gets so excited about) and finally the demise of our unsigned players we lose next year.
Whilst it is easier to criticise its harder to come back.....someone once said out of adversity is what makes thing's great.
Can Parra come back from adversity, obviously the dogs can.
if I was a dogs supporter I would be asking more questions about my side, than being a Parra supporter.Where have they been hiding all year???
Personally would have loved to have JAC, Burton and Pangai Jnr in my side. Ironically they get Mahoney and lose Marshall King, would not like that if I was a dogsman. LOL
I find it amusing to see BA criticised for not getting the team up for these games, what do you want him to do to achieve that exactly? These are professional footballers??
I suspect that all is not well in the Parra camp, too many are looking to leave, rather than fighting to stay.....our juniors are a mess and it looks like the Reserve Grade are no better.
I would like to get inside Innes and Mary's head to get an outsiders view. Our renaissance is still waiting to be fullfilled after the demise of the club from hands of various traitors.
For all those people that have said "that will do me" after "X" number of years and say they are sick of it (? Whats it) then you are just poor fair weather supporters, the ones that have been around for a lot longer like me....well nothing changes much. I bleed for the team like most of you, but be buggered if I am going to cut my throat or lose more than a nights sleep, i.e. the memory will stay there until our next game (Roosters)....I wonder how they feel about playing us next week, Trent Robinson would already being saying "shit", I think I will pick Parra to beat them and then go back to my opening sentence if they don't.

Hey Poppa-some great points and it's definitely not sleep loss worthy.
Obviously we didn't get up for this one and have a history of doing that this year.
Your last point is an interesting one re playing the roosters next week. In the games preceding our wins over Melb and Penrith this year we were beaten by the Sharks and thrashed by the Cows. I suspect they just thought they had to turn up today and were all focussed on the roosters game-particularly given they beat us earlier this year.
I'd like to believe we see a very different Parra team next Saturday
How many times do they need to think they just have to turn up for a result in a game like today. It's almost impossible to back the Eels in games like today, so regular are the losses in games that shouldn't be lost.
So how can the players not realise this and put a stop to it? They can't possibly just turn up thinking it's a guaranteed win after their history of playing in losses of this nature. There is no validity in this thinking.
Reserve Grade was very dissapointing today, not a single player in there screaming for 1st Grade selection.
I'm also starting to question this great depth that is spoken about at Parramatta.
As you say the juniors are a mess, not much seems to be coming through of any great ability.
I understand the Salary Cap means we can't keep everyone but gee we seem like we have lost a lot of talent next season and look as though we havn't really replaced them with anything great.
I am actually quite concerned about the immediate future of the club beyond next season.
I think the future is concerning as well but only in the short term...we will rise, we are just missing a driving force behind the football admin, not surprising when you consider where they too have come from.
Thanks for your considered response JB
John Cleese is a very wise man Grunts....I'm a bit softer with my equivalent expression i.e. they don't understand that they dont understand.
Im embarrassed by that performance Pops, plain and simple, and i think that our two leaders have faults that need addressing if we are to improve. One wasnt concerned and the other couldnt see it coming. I wont even go into our defensive issues out wide.
Yep shit happens, but you can change that shit if you eat something else.
BE, You may notice I did not attribute blame...I did not need to know where the virus came from, just what we need to understand in fixing it!
Thanks Grunts, I think you are going better lately as well.
I think we're done.
Sure we may win next week, even play deep into Finals but this side is fundamentally flawed. To win it from here we'd need a miracle run like the Tigers in '09. If that's what you're relying on you're already dead in the water.
I don't think there is a fix here with our current roster and Coaching staff.
Who knows, maybe a fully fit Hidgson might be everything we've ever needed? But seriously, it will need more than a 32 year old Hooker to right this ship.
Welcome to the real world mutt, youre late every year lol
