Not worried about Semi.
We need people to spread the word about Merit Selection. There is a lot of work going into it but Chris' efforts will amount to nothing unless everyone actually does all that hey can. We need more than a "well done" on a web site. Keep talking to people. Message people. Let as many know that it's not another faction, it's a solution.
Funny how the NRL keep putting off the final judgement on Parra.
However, what 60s is saying could work in our favour in the long run.
The NRL need to be able to come out of this as the Good Guys - now if we get a reasonably early (positive) decision on the call for an EGM - if the proposal for a merit based board appointments gets taken up they may decide to sit on their decision for a little longer to see if the club and football club are able to turn things around which could end up as a win/win for everyone.
You may recall how they held off and held off on the Sharks waiting for people to "do the right thing"
We would obviously still face penalties for the previous indiscretions but who knows.
2016 could still be The Year of the Eel, just not on the field - it could turn out to be the greatest turning point in our history to actually end up with a professional club and a competitive team which players will want to be part of in the future.
Eligible members should not miss this opportunity to bring positive change. Non members should also be promoting to eligible voting members, who are sitting on the fence atm, to get involved and support the EGM and its agenda.
For once I say agenda without fear of factionalism.
Each of the evening news last night had the news relating to the ""Coup"" at the club, ABC had a fine speciman named Chris Loco being interviewed, came across fairly polished without a tie though, suppose he could have borrowed one from Steve Blunt though.
Was a nice interlude with the other so called news going on.
If Semi goes he goes. Blame the Board and Semi. The Board because his TPA's were probably not worth the paper they were printed on, and Semi for forgetting the club plucked him from a Fiji 7's rugby tournament and bumped his earnings immeasurably. Sounds like a lack of patience has set in.
Before Semi came to play for
Parra Eels, Semi had nothing.
I don't think it's very fair on all.
To bad if he does not come back
As far as Semi's siblings are
concerned as Semi has opened
the door', if siblings want to
play N.R.L in Australia isn't it
he is slowly closing the door
for his brothers want to play
N.R.L. I don't know except
Semi should be talking to BRAD.
Parramum... Cheers!
When you look at the rosters that the Qld teams have, then you see the massive gap between truth and reality.
Save your budget crap for those of you who enjoy steak once a month, instead of whenever you want it.
This blog is not about blaming the NRL for our predicament, its about the lack of vision from the governing body of a sport who should be right up there with Soccer, but never will, because it is happy to sell its products to locals (2 states only) instead of marketing it to the rest of the country and world.
Really Brett rubbish post. Hope you enjoy servicing 9 and Fox for a measly billion, instead of taking this great game to the world. The money is there and the product is right, but alas let's not rock the boat for the sake of eating lobsters, let's be happy with our pre-budgeted cup-a-noodles.
