Well done Jono!

Really, really glad to see Jono Wright come out and have a good game. I must admit, I was very worried that his defence was going to get exploited today and he had a few dusty moments, but he ended up having a great game and I hope shut up a few of his detractors, who really gave it to him after that first Dragons game.

  • i think i said after the dragons game something along the lines of 'maybe we can trade him in for a new pair of boots for jarryd'.. well he shut me up alright, this kid can step in for us anytime... good on DA for persisting with him
  • He has made such massive improvements every game since that 37-0 drubbing.
  • Last week I was really nervous everytime he got the ball.. now I'm sort of hoping Inus hamstring flares up again LOL :-)
He played great.. along with the rest ofthe team!
  • Brilliant, yes... but how good was Lowrie. He was everywhere. Best player on the field for mine. Well, him and Fui.
  • Great game by him tonight...unfortunately he is injuired :(

We need him or Inu to be fit ASAP!
  • Jono Wright is a real talent
  • Yeah I need to put my hand up. I was quick to bag Jono. Whilst Jono did play well 2nite, he was only marking a spastic in Walker & Walker nearly got him on a few occasions on his outside. How would've Delaney gone? How will Josh Morris go next week?

I still think Jono has a defence reading problem where he moves up on the players inside too quickly which allows them a shot on his outside. It is the adjusting period that Jono needs to adapt too for first grade. But look at the improvement. Gee Jono smashed some guys 2nite, put a great ball on for (I think) Burt & to cap it off made Bailey look like a frontrower & not a 5/8 to score what I'm sure will be a huge confidence builder try. Well done

Man what a challenge. Comes in first grade R26 against Saints marking winger of the year in Morris wiith only 2 or 3 games expreince previously with us having won 7 straight. Gets dusted up, Gets smashed in the media and on fan sites, comes back the following week plays a lot better at centre and comes back again last nite and him rating a 7/10 points for the game.

This kid has potential. Well done Jono & well done Ando for keeping with him.

I think I need to have a little more faith & not be so quick to judge.

In saying all of that I hope Inu is back for next week.
    • Hey Active i felt the same way ,but yeah the kid had a good game last nite, but everybody lets not judge but am quiteley confident INU will be back next week, go u good things i,m smashed its now 8.09am
  • This post took the words right out of my mouth.

When Jono scored last night, I said 'now that truly warms my heart'. What a courageous player! He was brought in, last minute for Kris Inu 2 weeks ago and had a terrible night. For him to come out show the improvement which he has shown, take it to Walker last night and get a try, was wonderful.

He needs to take a bow!
  • What is the injury to Jono?
