Welcome Jason Ryles *Officially*

It is official, Jason Ryles is now in charge of Parramatta. I expect a press conference early next week, but now he can officially put his feet under the desk and start the new era of Eels football. Been busy behind the scenes with recruitment of both players and coaches, now is the need to come in without stepping on the toes of those already there. Of course the boys wont be at the facilities until pre-season starts in November but Ryles will be there for sure now showing his face.

It was brought up during the week of "Why has he not shown his face?" Originally the plan was to do so when Melbourne's season ends. However, as things worked out him and Melbourne had an amicable parting of ways beneficial for both parties involved. With that he managed to start recruitment and working the squad to his liking. He also got his staff of Brown, Moa and Wisemantel on board.

I cannot wait for him to put on the Eels polo, see his first presser and see what he has in store for the club moving forward. It is for the first time in a long time a step into the unknown for Eels fans. For a while with BA it was a feeling of not too optimistic with the feeling that they will start well then fall apart and most years it did, the others it went worse. With Ryles, i have no idea how the team will respond either good or bad and that is exciting for a change.

Welcome officially Jason, let's get to work.

  • He isn't official until 1st of November

    • He's a coach not a player

    • As soon as that siren sounded he was the coach. He is not like a player where the new league starts. He has been making moves since June, if it was not tile November 1st he couldn't make moves.

  • He will need to be working 18hrs a day at least just to fix our rubbish defensive structures.

  • Hopefully Moa is the real deal

  • Poor bastard is off to a bad start losing Brown for the first half of the season.

He needs to add a 5/8 to his list of needs and wants.

  • Ryles is taking  over the hottest attacking team in the nrl in the last 2 weeks... 2 wins in a row and over 100 points scored....

"Agree Mutts, lacks a bit of that speed and agility to be great at Wing and Center.
If he continue's his defensive work he could be an agile edge, but would probably be a backup at best."

"I think they will partner up JAC and Kelly for the next 2 years and get that combination humming.
The right is isn't as clear, but it really depends on how bad Simonnson's ankle is. I would expect Penisini and Simmon to lock down the right for most…"
