weidler says tahu only 12 month extension

now i know its only danny "bullshit" weidler, but he has written this in his blog:TAHU STICKS WITH EELSEXPECT Timana Tahu to announce a new deal with the Eels in the next 24 hours. His future had been in some doubt, but he’ll commit to Parramatta for another 12 months.http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/mason-and-fielden-ready-to-rumble-20101030-1784c.html

  • I think thats a good result for both parties.
  • Ha ha love the bit on Slater wanting to swap the boots for horses!!!!
  • you actually believe that space cadet ???

no journalist worth anything has anything to do with it !!

    been reported elsewhere.

today in telecrap he now been sounded out by the ruggers !

    original negotiating tatic again !!!!!

    NOT WORTH IT OZZIE...........
  • At least we get a centre who has the "POTENTIAL" to help us out.

But then - we have quite a few players with "potential" - don't we.
  • Tahu is still one of the best centres in the game talent wise. Some games this year proved he still has it. He needs to have a good off-season and avoid the press, and the rest will come naturally (I hope).
  • yeah me too. I am glad he didnt actually sign a three year deal str8 up b4. hoping the 1 year extension motivates him to play for a 2012 contract.
  • Danny Wiedler is a dribbling, annoying twat who gets the "scoop" because he prints the news the way the players and managers want the stories printed.

    He's no real journo.

My "member" wearing a curly red wig could do the same!

Sorry for the vile and bile people, but I am SO NOT A FAN OF WIEDLER ....

    if you couldn't guess!!

  • Can't agree with that EE.
Tahu only had a 12 month contract for 2010 and look how he went.
He "supposedly" had a 2 year extension on the line as well.

I think the fact that we have only given him a 12 month deal for 2011 should tell us something.
Me thinks some people are not too happy with his efforts and "notoriety" in 2010.
  • Timana will be back to his best next year! He'll get his head back in the game and destroy opposition like we know he can!
Tahu wasn't the only one who had a bad year this year on the field!
  • I think the reality the club faces is that we need him - at least for next year - as there is a dearth of experienced, quality outside backs at the club at the moment.

Obviously, if we were able to lure Willie Tonga back home, I imagine Tahu would have been shown the door but as I understand, Tonga is recommitting to the Cowboys.

We can't go into 2011 without at least one serious strike weapon in the three-quarter line.
