just wanted to point out that we were one of three clubs payne haas was consideringwhen signing with a club as an 16 year old. whilt its disappointing that we didnt sign him i think its a good sign we were in the mix and have some degree of an eye for talent. the article is on nrl.com

Seriously, who cares? We could be in the mix to get any NRL Player. Not intended as a shot at you mate, but where we presently are, the cycle will continue. Either purchase retirement options and hope, fringe players and hope or pay massive overs to get a decent signing or two. That is the cycle we have been lowered into for years now.

Why would Hass want to come to the Eels unless its for a semi-retirment package! The Eels already have enough HASS- els as it is they need anymore.
