We should beat the Dogs

The Warriors -Dogs game was one of the 3 I didnt watch this weekend by chatting to mycousin who is a die hard Bulldogs fan, he said they were "complete dogsh*t". Clueless in attack, no thrust from the forwards and in defence they were complete turnstyles.

What the situation with Terepo? With Manu Mau and Nathan Brown out indefinately, Junior with a dodgy hammy we need to get him back in the team ASAP. Mannah, Gower and Evans did OK yesterday but they aren't players that are going to give you mementum with a good run each set.

If Menning is ultimately suspended..who do you bring in and where? Bevan on the wing and Fergo in the centres? Or will it be a straight swap with Salmon?

  • I watched the dogs game. If we had played dogs round 1, yes we would have won. But a week is a long time in rugby league...

Terepo is indefinite. It's likely Paulo will start in the front row with Alvaro. Moeroa will be lock.

Jennings is suspended one week. I guess salmon comes in. I can't see why we'd move Ferguson to the centres or gutherson for that matter.

  • I think who ever loses this game will get the spoon i know we won and dogs lost but that what i think

    • Gee you’re a pessimist Arnold

    • Sorry Arnie, Manly look good for that

  • Dogs were diabolical. Truly.

Not because the Warriors were red hot. The Warriors were good but they certainly didn’t have much in front of them on that day.

The Dogs were completely rudderless. Their forwards were pedestrian, Hopoate was snail pace. Leisha went missing, Foran and Lewis barely got past a jog and their centres were regularly beaten. They were a disaster after having months to prepare for that game.

A week is a long time in rugby league but I really liked the grit  and class our boys showed. We should win well.

      • Mate definitely put your money on the Dogs. I’m a terrible tipster

      • We'll know in 2-3 weeks in Penrith are in strife and we took advantage.

We hammered them both in the trial and Round 1.

  • Dogs were awful, I know we got spoon last year but I thought the dogs were the worst team to watch and they haven’t improved. In fact now that they have lost the Morris boys who I still rate, their backline is amongst the worst I have ever seen.

  • Generally teams come out stronger the week after they get humiliated. Id be mindful of them.

  • The Bulldogs were very, very ordinary and probably the worst Ive seen from a Bulldogs side in years. If the Eels dont win this game Id be very disappointed. The only way I could see the Eels losing if the referees give the game to the Bulldogs or the Eels dont turn up! However, I really see a very different Eels team this year. I really like the addition of Ferguson, Lane and Paulo into the side and the Eels spine is the best its been in years. A shame that Brown got a long injury but hopefully the NRL will get there act together and allow Terepo back soon.
