We need to complain about the draw

How fked was the start of the year draw for us versing such good teams and 3 of them after they have a bye. And now we are the only NRL team that do not have a bye during any of the 3 origin camp weeks.

  • There's just no point complaining. Even if the NRL did listen, they'd never admit they got it so wrong. It's not like they'll take it on board and give us an easier draw next year.

Parra just need to embrace the adversity and win despite the farcial hand they've been dealt.

    • There's always a point complaining. It's fun :)

Never give up before you try, why make this easy for the NRL and the powerhouse clubs? Make some noise. Enough noise the NRL have to react. We have a massive fan base, active them and it's hard to ignore.

    • Every team gets 12 home games, the only advantage  the Broncos get is magic round.

Don't count the Dolphins game. I'm sure they would rather play in front of a packed Suncorp Stadium than a  quarter of that crowd in Redcliffe

      • The Broncos don't play the Dolphins in Redcliffe though, they play them in an 'away' game at Suncorp, and a home game against them at the Gabba.

The Broncos have 12 games at Suncorp. They have 2 games at the Gabba. They have an away game against the Eels in Darwin, and an 'away' game against Souths on the Sunshine Coast.

The Eels have 11 games at CommBank.

The Broncos advantages far outweight magic round this season... But the tough draw may not be the worst thing for the Eels though, it might've helped keep them mentally switched on & shaped a bit of the fight we are seeing.

        • The Dolphins play more home games at Suncorp than in Redcliffe. It is their home ground

I didn't hear any winging from Eel supporters  when the Tigers took a home game against us to Commbank

          • Ah got you, I thought Moreton Daily Stadium was the Dolphins home. Fair enough.

Broncos do have a very favourable draw this year, its not whinging, its just fact, but as mentioned above, think the tough draw might be a positive in the long run for us. Don't think the 'easier' draws suit us necessarily.

              • Got you, thanks Brissy.

So to amend, Broncos have 12 home games, 1 away game at Suncorp against Manly, 1 away game in Darwin against the Eels, and 1 away game against Souths on the Sunshine Coast.

They also have just 6 games outside of QLD this season. Call me crazy, but, that feels like a pretty good draw.

But again, feel the tough draw will be huge for us at the back end of the season anyway.

            • Me thinks the only reason to complain about the draw is if we're not good enough. It's a long season so plenty of time for the good teams  to rise

              • Yep, thats fair Al.

Win this week & that early draw is well & truly in our rear view.
