Seems BA has been loyal to the teams forward pack for the last five years, whilst other teams are changing their packs, we still have the same pack for the last five years or so.
Players like Tim Mannah, Manu Mau, David Gower, Alvaro, Pritchard, Matagi and the list goes on. We haven't had a decent front rower since the exit of Fuifui Moimoi and we are struggling against the top teams.
Junior Paulo will provide much needed size, but we do need someone who runs harder and bends the line. Vave has the size, Tepai is probably starting to show signs of his potential. Reed Mahooney is a talent, I still rate Norman to be in the side, Hayne at fullback, Gennings needs to go as well, but, Bevan French is full of potential, and this is my line up for next year assuming we sign up Segeyaro as hooker.
1. Hayne
2. French
3. Mennings
4. Gutherson
5. Fergo
6. Moses
7. Norman
8. Junior Paulo
9. Mahooney
10. Alvaro
11. Lane
12. Tepai
13. Brown
14. Mau
15. Terepo
16. Segeyaro
17. Niukore
18. O Kaufusi
This team still lacks one or two big forward to bend the line.

If fit, I reckon T-Rex will be in the 17 come Round 1.
He was probably our best forward before he got injured.
I doubt he will be even offered a contract for next year, T Rex was ok at best, made a few decent runs but still a lazy plodder coming off another knee Reco. We are nuts if we offer him another deal.
These fans who list Gower as one player we need to let go don’t have a farking clue, seriously.
Gower has been in the top 3forwards for us all season. He has an offload too which places him above most of them. He shows more commitment and determination than most, why the hell would we get rid of him? He’d be a great back up for an improved forward pack next year at worst. Don’t let his age determine your opinion.
100 percent!
I agree with grunta on the gower call i thought hes been an animal this year and so was mau before his injury he was killin it!
for all those who think gowie should be let go and replaced with someone else - they need their heads read.
They all want him replaced with the "next big thing" but fail to take into consideration the value for money gowie provides.
The "next big thing" will cost substantially more than gower and will no provide no guarantees on their effort, ability or work rate.
For minimum wage, you know what you get with Gower - good work rate, big effort, minimal errors and consistent performance.
With everyone available, he doesn't make the top 17 but should be one of the first called up when injuries invariably strike. A very important back up player which every club needs.
In saying all that, one more season may do it for him.
If Gower wants another season, he wont cost a lot but will give more as he has done so far. Not getting any younger but better than some of the younger ones.
