Watson's game for the Roosters yesterday with 70 minutes as hooker clearly indicated he should be a high priority signing for us. He built great momentum from dummy half,was creative, and defended well.

It has been widely reported that although under contact for 2018 the Roosters are willing to release him.Wests are favoured for his signature-surely the Eels can offer more. Not only would he be a great first choice hooker, his versatility would be valuable-just like PJ Marsh

I was only half watching game but heard commentators say a few times that he was having trouble passing left to right or could be other way. I noticed a few wayward passes as well so not sure he is a hooker.
Read poppa's post in another blog about lack of basic skills such as catch and throw but hooker is one position a top passing game is required.
Kaysa is developing as is Connor Watson so why swap 1 developing player for another. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Not saying he can't pass but his passes were sloppy and off target and put catcher under pressure. This will lead to knock ons in big games and players not standing as wide as they sometimes should due to his level of passing.

Kaysa played well 2 games ago on the back of our forwards...

Having Alvaro Mannah and Matagi as our prop rotation really isnt good enough...

  Yes, not sure why we aren't actively chasing him? Peats will re-sign with Tits. God knows how they can squeeze him in after signing Hayne though.
