I have watched Roosters beat the shit out of Souths and bring themselves undone, like wise Sharks had Cows covered and blew that, the difference of how their supporters must feel with leading one minute before fulltime against the cows and sitting on their heels waiting for next week and now "forlorn misery"...... we can say that because we know what it feels like!
Watching last nights game Sharks were shattered and never up for it, Souths have now played the equivalent of two grand finals and play Penrith next week....that is there grand final and that's where I am coming from. When we play Cows next week, there is a lot of pressure on them, they will only be thinking about who they play in the GF....Bunnies or Panthers.
I think the cards maybe falling into place, we turn up in Townsville completely oblivious to the local hype, it will be huge all week in Townsville and there will be nothing else talked about! Other than the Grand Final! ............Sydney won't take a lot of notice of the Parra game with Swans in the Grand Final....hopefully our boys will not get caught in any hype over us.
Parra will be playing knowing that the Grand Final is the next week after this one and all the others will be playing their GF's this weekend. Notwithstanding Panthers record against us this season, I am sure they will be more worried about the Rabbits than us. i.e. if we can manage to get through against the Cows, we will never get a better chance of pulling off an ambush.
Arguably through circumstances the two best teams in the comp along with Penrith,......... Roosters and Storm were hurt with situations which took them out of calculations.
The God's may have finally come to our party...we have had a lot of shit happen this year and arguably have no right to be where we are, especially with the ongoing saga of the bench, BA and JA, Nathan Brown etc....who says things move in mysterious waves?
Finally before anyone takes umbrage about this blog, stop and think for a minute how "many of you" thought we could still be in there with a legitimate chance after the events of our form and issues this year.
Who can honestly say they had not written us off at least once during the last 10 weeks ? My hands up for at least 3 times.
PS For all those that don't believe in the Almighty, start thinking "fate" even "agnostics" believe there could be something out there!..... it's time to believe in something !!!
Finally I say this in reference to all the "rabid" Parra supporters that have never seen a premiership, my immediate feeling after we win this one will be how "flat we will be next year" yes if you have never experienced being on top, let me tell you it is a lot bloody harder to stay there!

Poppa I love you...Dont believe in the cults ... but ive been saying for months we can get to the big one, and i believe in our team. Coach Bench and all. "Mind you there was agame there that I lost my shit and hated the world and the team " hahaha. Our bloody Eels are in the prelim and I look at the boys and listen to what they are saying in inteviews and the like, and mate they havnt played their final yet, they havnt celebrated as if thats enough yet and like you i think a hit and run ambush mission is on the cards where they get in sweep the cowboys aside and make it to the big one. So loving this ride at the moment.
Kids in the streets this morning down at the beach all wearing jerseys, grown men coming out with Eels Jackets on. One full on tigers supporter turned up this morning for coffee with his new addition - An Eels Beanie attached to his cart. Proud as punch " ive got a new second team go the Eels he says" Huge smile on my face this morning having my coffee. Newcastle supporters chatting away up here saying how good is Moses, hes on fire. I never wrote us off Poppa even after that dogs loss. I was at that god forsaken game in the dogs corporate and I am on record that week saying it wasn't as bad as people were saying. Every single thing that could have gone the dogs way did and to their credit the digs played pretty damn well with good line speed. We just had an off day. I did say though that if we didn't finish top 4 we couldn't progress to the prelim and with about 6 rounds to go I only gave us a slim chance. For some reason though I thought we may be playing the Storm for 4th in the final game quite a way out
