Nicho Hynes is the footballer who would have delivered the GF to us last year. He stood out in a Melbourne side before moving to Cronulla where he has gone to another level. He can play in any position on the field such is his all round ability and when he declared he wanted to move to a Sydney club there was no interest in him from our Club. The bloke is everything and more that we need to get over the line in close games, his enthusiasm drives his teamates and he is in my opinion, the most valuable player in the NRL .
Is it not time to drop Waqa to NSW Cup for the rest of the season and promote another centre? Now is the time to try our other options and if they do not work out then they can follow Waqa out the door. Watch any other side this round and you will find young centre/wingers who are up to NRL level and are given a chance by their clubs to show that. I am hoping that ideas from Barrett in this regard are well received and used .

Let's not forget Curtis Scott was in the mix , so we had to adjust when he was set up by his old twat.
Dunster has loads of potential.
We let our x-factor go the Tigers in Papalii. Eels have the weakest forwards bench rotation in the comp. If anything, need a decent centre and winger.
I reckon we have him more than covered. We just need to tighten up the errors . Once Lane comes back our back row will be pretty lethal.
papaali was never an x-factor and will never be one - all he is a hard working backrower who just happened to fit in well with the system, if he was an x-factor player, he never showed it at warriors and now at the tigers....
I'd take him as a hard working forward than some of the ones we have sitting on the bench. I'd be more focused on our defence that an X-factor in attack. Goes to show where the coaching staff heads are at. Our weakest areas are (1) centre/wing (2) forwards bench rotation
he has shown so far at west tigers that he isnt worth the 650k they invested in him.....
I reckon Turbo or Latrell would struggle in that team. Look at Api, how good is he going? Still a class player, but everyone around him is shit.
there are around 50 players you could lump in that category"he would be good to add to the squad" but be realistic, he was only ever going to a club that would play and pay him as a half. Who were you going to pay out and move on to accommodate him....geezus
Agree , he's a fantastic player , a future captain and can break a game wide open. Would have him as our halfback , 5/8 or fullback anyday . We are so attached to the current plonkers we've been closed off to looking to replace them. The blokes on 600k , less than Matterson. His new deals under 900k that's been put to him. If he signs that than what does that say for our recruitment and retention team.
What we should be doing is finding out who scouted him from Melbourne and signing them , cause they obviously know what the fuck they're doing.
Hynes is 1000% times more creative than Moses and Brown combined , he doesn't need a lot of ball in the opposition 20 to create tries , Hynes as the eels 7 would completely.transform the team in attack.
