I actually don't want to have a BA bashing blog. But...if the last 20 minutes of our games show we have flash, we have finesse and we have "X factor" in our halves in particular. When the game is gone and the direction is "just attack" brown and Moses show what they are capable. Moses was all X factor and not enough control when he came to us - now he is the other way. A great running halfback who now is criticised for not running enough. Don't get me wrong his game has improved overall but there needs to be a balance.
A telling moment was when the fox guys said that the team overrides BA to go for the try when 8 down instead of the 2. We had momentum for the first time in the game and BA seems to be too conservative in his approach. Too conservative with team lineups, team changes and playing style. It's the old story of trying to be the storm of old rather than looking at your players strengths. Sivo was lazy tonight but his strength os finishing backline movements and attacking plays -- again too conservative. I love hodgo but it is obvious he is not match fit - BA acknowledges this with the inclusion of Hands but after a first half when we had two sin binned refuses to bring him on early - too conservative.
we have the X factor in our players - they're just coached to play a different style.....

The 2 was actually the right play imo. After all the Roosters dominance they would of been only 6 points ahead. All of a sudden some score board pressure switches to them. We can then get into a grind with them. Mind you Atkins 55 x set restarts hurt after we bombed that opportunity
Last 20 minutes Hands came on, Hodgson went off. Happened two weeks in a row, it's no coincidence.

When we start actuality playing footy and push our attack we usually excel.
Lane back will only better us in that department.
It's great to throw the ball aliens but you need to earn that right. We have the right formula. We're still right in this competition. Don't lose heart.
