I am gutted tonight at our loss, even though, deep down, I know this was coming. Proud of the effort of this team and the fact that we made the semis for the first time in years. Our soft draw helped us make the four, but in the end, it also did not help us. I said it at the time, I feel we played our Grand Final against the Storm. A valiant effort, which could well have ended very differently for a variety of reasons that we have all discussed.
Facts remain, our forwards have ticker but we seriously lack size. We always struggle against bigger teams and BA need to address this. He also needs to work on the teams endless lack of discipline which has hurt us time and time again this season.
Mitchell Moses and Corey Norman got owned tonight. However, put some perspective here. They played less than half a season together. Moses, I have no doubt will be wonderful for us, based on what I have seen thus far. Norman, IMO needs to work hard on his involvement and more importantly his options. He choice of kicks and timing of those kicks seriously lacks at times for a player earning what he is. Bigger and better things for next year.
Finally, having King Gutho and French out at this end of the season really hurt us.
Proud of the efforts of the team, but tonight showed me, that BA still has a lot of work to do with this team and some hard decisions to make to make us a true title threat.
Massive challenge to be able to replace Semi. ( Please come back)
Well done Parra. I am destroyed and disappointed but I think the team performed above realistic expectations despite how frustrated I get at some of the stupid and ill disciplined football we played during the year.
It is going to be a long off season. EE

Very well said EE.
I thought we over achieved to make the top 4, and to make the second week of the Semi's was an exceptional year.
BA did a great job for a team that didn't have many rep players.
Evans, Gutherson, French, Moeroa and Meehan (if he loses 15kg) will value add (on tonight's team list), but Semi will be a massive loss. We probably could have resigned Semi if we offered him another 150-200K, but not to be.
Agree with all, we lack size and the ability to break the line up front.
We lack leadership and our halves got owned tonight.
Still a good year but weve got a lot of work to do and signings to make.
Meehan is apparently off for next year, Evans wont offer much more than average, we need some size
What's that about Meehan? Have we not resigned Meehan?
Yep, we don't seem to learn from the cost of our ill discipline. Must frustrate the hell out of BA.
See you in 2018.
Yep, we need a few fit big boppers who smash the line.
Snake advised earlier in the week that another site reported Meehan will not be offered a contract. Lazy and disinterested apparently.
Tims a nice guy and was good in his day. But while he's captain we'll never have the foot on throat attitude to win a GF.
