After watching the last 6 games farely closely and reading a lot of the blogs on this site, I think we can still win the grand final, but a few things have to change.
KK; I think KK has been one of the few players to show attitude and try his heart out all season, but his play is to readable, a dart side ways, then a fast hard skip straight towards the closest defender sandwedge, all that speed/ zip of the line and energizer atttitude does very little when you are relatively little and a couple of second rowers are standing right in front of you, if he can learn to use that a bit more wisely, he will be a great asset, I see glimpses of it from time to time, but if it does not happen soon, give humbe his job.
Hindmarsh ; Hindy cant be injured lol
Humble; this bloke may not be a physical giant, but I have a gut feeling he has a great head for seeing the whole field, I think with a bit of experience he could be a darn good general.
Morts;Seems a bit overwhelmed by it all at the moment, Gawd, just find some confidence man
Hayne; the best and brain snappiest man in the league, If he stops trying to prove that last year was no fluke, he might actually prove it, why kick out on the full.. he's better than that, why not even look to see where Jamal is in origin. He does not need to stop chancing his hand, it usually comes of, just stop chancing it when you dont need to, that is just cocky. Cut out the odd.. but not odd enough.. brain fades and def the best Rugby League player ever. .. if he isn't all ready anyway lol.
Fui; Fui seems to be run on emotion, if it doesnt matter, dont bother, if it's sudden death, look the hell out, Fui will fire when he needs to, and that is when we will start winning again, Fui played great in the 4 games we won, and now maybe the pressure to win is eased off a little. I think he will give us the forward motion we need when the time comes.
Burt,Tahu,Smith, Mateo and Mannah; do what your doing.
Inu; Stop being lazy or leave now.
Reddy and Grothe; please come back.
Cayless.. what ever he does, he has done so much we should carry him through.
Just my opinions :-)

But realistically IMO the eels have played one good game all year and that was against Manly a few weeks ago the rest of the matches the team seems to have coughed puffed and really "just getting over the line" the team stinks of inconsistency again the forwards have lost their 2nd phase play the backs are flat lack direction organsiation and any motivation from a half or 5/8 who really should be calling the shots by yelling and guiding players around the park!!!
As i said i like your opinion Ross
But at this stage I cannot see the eels making let alone winning the GF at this stage!!!!!!
I just hope they prove me wrong
Tigers looked like shot ducks two weeks ago, and then they pull out a performance like they did against the Warriors!
Until we are a mathematical chance of not making the 8, I will still believe!
