Excluding our round 2 annihilation at Brookevale, our other 4 games have been much MUCH closer than many people realize or would care to acknowledge.
In 3 of those 4 games, Parramatta have actually scored equal tries with our opponents.
Our 2 games against Penrith, plus our game versus the Sharks, we scored the same amount of tries but a combination of us missing conversions and our opponents kicking multiple penalty goals has seen us miss out on 6 competition points.
I'm sure everyone would've been reasonably happy now with a 50% record considering all the adversity we've endured with such a terrible possession and completion rate, as well as so many players missing through injury.
Adding to that adversity has been the fact we've played with just 12 men in 3 of our 5 games because we've had a player sent to the sin bin 3 times.
Against the Tigers, we were out-scored 5 tries to 4 and we certainly had our chances to win that game too.
So overall, EXCLUDING our round 2 capitulation against Manly, we have only scored ONE TRY LESS THAN OUR OPPONENTS IN TOTAL from our 4 games against Penrith twice, Sharks & Tigers.
We aren't as bad as many people make us out to be. I think it's just that we haven't been the first to score (except against Penrith in round 1) for so long, and we're always playing catch-up footy that makes our results look worse.
The biggest thing that I can't believe is how much possession we're hell-bent on giving our opponents in most of our games via crappy errors & penalties.
How can we be making so many errors when all we've been doing is playing SAFETY-FIRST FOOTBALL AND BASICALLY PLAYING WET-WEATHER FOOTBALL ? I mean, fair enough if we were playing HOT POTATO AD-LIB FOOTY, you would expect errors, but we haven't done that.
Hopefully now with some troops starting to come back into our team, we'll start playing some real footy.

I agree we could probably attribute the manly game to a grave coaching error
Granted we arent as bad as we say but nonetheless we are bad. We had a poor offseason both recruitment and trainingwise compared to previous offseasons and have failed to add youth to an ageing team
Agree with everything you stated BNG243.
We also played for a fair period in the second half versus Panthers last week with ZERO RESERVES LEFT.
In fact, you could even say that we finished that game playing with only 12 men (12 healthy men anyways) on the field because Nathan Brown was forced to stay on the field injured because we had no reserves.
So, that really makes it 4 out of 5 games that we've played with only 12 men for 10 minutes.
And what if Parra had the massive amounts of ball possession that our opponents had and if we actually completed our sets? Our opponents forward pack would've looked just as ordinary as ours because of fatigue. Then we we would've scored more tries and received more penalties too.
We had massive possession against Penrith last week and did SFA with it
It was 30-6 against the Tigers until they put the cue in the rack and we had enough ball to win 20 games against Penrith and fluke one arsey try of a kick. Honestly some of you blokes have your heads buried that far up your clackers it's a wonder you can see any footy let aline sense.
This is the sort of blog I'd be expecting out of the people on that other site who continually make excuses for the coach & team, and would still be happy if we scrapped into 8th or 9th position.
Its not good enough. Especially in the 5th year of a coaching tenure, when there can be zero excuses from the team they inherited. It's 100% their build.
We have the advantage of having the best jnrs to choose from and should be aiming for the 3rd week of the finals every year minimum. Especially in a coaches fifth year.
Our pack needs a total rebuild and there's absolutely nothing to fall back on coming through.
●and Our juniors have been neglected.........tos.
If you're happy just having an average footy club good luck with it.
We also scored first in the Tigers game. We are fucking shit. The worst team in the competition. There is no other way around it
I agree we aren’t as bad as some make out but our forwards are dreadful.
Let’s see your thoughts after the game at 9:30pm tonight - betcha it’s different.
