Wayne Bennett

Just watching NRL 360 bronco powerbrokers have approached Bellyache to take over reins at Red Hill possible start for 2019 season. Let’s make a play for him and it wouldn’t hurt to ask him the question. You never know! He could rebuild the club and wipe away this shit culture that has plagued the club since the departure of Brian smith. This shit culture is killing the club and is a cancer.

  • Hi Ed, if Parra did decide to part with BA then IMO we should go for the best & not stuff around again with selecting another also ran coach or one with "potential". If it were up to me, assuming BA was to be paid out, I would go for either Bellyache or Benny.

It may not automatically work out either, aka our experiences with Michael Hagan & Ricky Stuart who were both premiership winning coaches, but at least we would know that we got the best in the game at the time.

  • No chance Wayne Bennett has had the luxury over 30 years or close to it to have an Origin or near Kangaroo grade roster
Do you really think he could do anything for Parra. Im a diehard and this year is the first year I have felt my support wilting. WE are the most unsuccessful team in the NRL. We have a average to fair Roster and now looks like our front office is going to be a shambles again with former Board members allowed back in to nominate. Where the F does it end....?????

Further if we have the second largest catchment and local Junior structure why are we not identifying and bring up ANY talent.??

Penrith seam to moving ahead here in identification ad club infrastructure.

we must have sold our souls to ol mate for the results in the 80s. Maybe that has been the reason we put up with mediocrity these last 32 years our success then.....

How embarrassing is it going to be with our brand new stadium next year and we cant even crack a win in it.

    over it
  • Bellyache won't risk his legacy at club like parra. Broncos have TPAs and advantage of having so many young players willing stay in broncos system due to family and lifestyle of Brisbane compared to Sydney.
Bellyache will once again be able build close to best roster in the game at Brisbane and also have added bonus of thoroughbred payments on the side.
  • I would go after Noah - at least he is younger than what's his name.

    • Who’s Noah?

  • As we've found out with Green & Bennett at Newcastle, you need a very strong roster or you will do no better than BA doing now. Even Bellamy when he coached the Origin sides found it very hard to win games without the spine he has a Melbourne which is Smith, Slater & at the time Cronk. But I agree if the club looking at a new coach, Hasler, Toovey & Maguire I don't think are the answer, I think we will be in the same situation we are in now.
