  • What, youve never watched the footy in the rain??

Phil you havent lived, there is no feeling like it in the world, especially when its an away game, pissing down enough for Noah to get in his Ark, and the Mighty Eels Win.
    Great memories.
    • I remember Eels v Tigers at Leichhardt in 1999 and it bucketed down the entire game and I just sat there. lol

I hope Eels fans still attend tonight.
  • I have you covered Phil.

I enjoy nothing more than watching in the rain. if you win - it is the greatest feeling on Earth. Dancing in the rain is a lot of fun. If you lose however, I am a wallower so it makes the loss feel even worse as you are walking soggily back to your car and try to thaw yourself out on the walk home.

I am a firm believer in the concept of once you are wet... you are wet. So dress warm. Gumboots are also fantastic. They keep your toes dry, mean you can wear bed socks underneath and are a fantastic fashion accessory.

Bring a poncho and towels to dry your seat (I don't plan to be seated at all tonight though). Also drink your beer quickly - or the water makes it taste yukky.

But most importantly of all - If your signs are made of cardboard - be sure to contact them! :-)
    • Soooo Tinker , Your saying its cool for men to wear Pink bed socks under his yellow gumboots, lol........may as well give him the yellow raincoat, and the pretty yellow hat, it will be a good look for you Phil. lol
  • Daz - how on Earth did you know that I had pink bed socks? And that I just put them in my bag for later??

    P.S. I have spotted gumboots - they're not yellow. :-)
    • haha, hmmm called it an educated guess, or very strong binoculars ;o)
Gumboots, ahh the childhood memories, my mum had a hard time getting me to wear the hat, trudging through pouring rain taking my 3 brothers and I to school, no car back then. I tell you kids are so spoiled these days, I make sure mine know the meaning of character building, they ride their bikes in the rain to school sometimes, just to remind them life aint always easy.
  • Ahhhh wet football, yup buy blue or yellow garbage bag, and a hole on the top for your head. Its also beer proof, you'll need this Phil when Parra scores as some people tend to forget they have a beer in their hand when they cheer, haha.
  • Where is the swarm sitting??? I want to join you guys tonight.
I've been waiting for this night since the GF last year let alone the recent scandal.

I'll be there tonight rain, hail or moon!!!!!!!!!!!!

    CMON PARRA!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Watch the game in parra eels corporate box...Oh that's right, he doesn't have one!

Seriously, towell for your seat and some form of rain resitant jacket.
  • Geez this game is important, a win and than the bye = 4 points!

I hope it rains everytime Melbourne have the ball and than stops when Parra are in possession.
