I was discussing with my dad last night (who is also a massive Parra fan) who should take over from Kearney. We got onto the topic of whether Kearney ever had the respect of the senior players. My main thought was that did they really accept him given he was part of the coaching staff during the Storm's salary cap rorts. Did players like Hindy and Burt really accept him, or was it a facade for the media? His team's cheating cost those guys a premiership. It still eats away at those guys.

I admit I granted him a little respect as a fan. I put some faith in him and gave him a chance.
He has destoryed that respect after so long at the club now with his inablity to evolve his game plan and inspire his troops.
"It still eats away at those guys" - you know this how???
Cayless has a session before each game called "Before the Game." In closing after the last session he said "I'll see you guys before we play the Cheats, oooppss I mean the Storm." If it didn't bother him he wouldn't have said it.
fact- he is putting it foward as a point of discussion for possible reasons for our current position
I know this because they are humans.
Its simply gotta stay with them to some degree that for sure, I dont forget it as a fan and Im sure as hell they dont forget something like that as players.
To point the finger at storm players and coaching staf however is another question tho. I'm pretty sure Hindy, Burt etc realise by now that SK has not got the brains to have been involved in any of that cheating cap business.
Inglis had a speed boat in his garage as a present and forgot to mention it
Players ain't stupid but they can pretend to be
Bellamy would certainly have input into who they have in the squad and how much they should be paid etc
The only people that would know are the players and the coach, everything else is heresay.
