Was a deal struck with Peats before he left?

When Peats signed on for only 18 months with the Titans I thought it was a very weird length. Now I'm starting to see BA has been saving up a war chest for 2018, most probably for a top halfback. But maybe we struck a deal with Peats to leave and we'll sign him back for $XX above what he should be worth in 2018 as well as signing a halfbackJust thought about this as I read about Peats being named in the Team of the last 30 years.

  • Doubt it very much.  If a deal was struck, he would be back next season.  Think about it!

  • Same deal that was struck with Hayne before he left....

  • Given that Peats has alot of injuries, highly doubt BA would think like this. Who knows what state he will be in 2018?
  • I tbought the same thing but who knows we will find out next year. A year is a long time in footy.
  • Doubt it, his old man was bagging the shit out of the club along with other family members when he left.

  • I have a feeling there was because if there wasn't will how come we resign DeGois for one more year when we could of went after someone else

  • Doubt it will happen but he could even ask for a release and be back at Parra before the June 30 deadline next year.
    •  Are they finally waking-up to BA?

  • I don't understand how BA wasn't going to re-sign Peats for next year but happy to sign old man De Gois or Paper Mache Prichard.

    • Uhm, ask the NRL with their crap  ruling, which was clearly wrong at the time!
