"CEO of the Warriors Wayne Scurrah says it has been months since the club has spoken to the Eels about signing Krisnan InuThe New Zealand Warriors say talk of Eels centre Krisnan Inu moving to the Warriors this season is just that ... talk. The Australian media have been reporting the Eels are prepared to release the Kiwis centre, if the Warriors stump up with his $275,000 contract. But, CEO Wayne Scurrah has told Radio Sport it has been months since club has spoken to Eels management about Inu.The Warriors do have room under the salary cap for another signing."Notice it says "The Australian media have been reporting the Eels are prepared to release the Kiwis centre, if the Warriors stump up with his $275,000 contract..."In other words... The Daily Telegraph, which is full of shit, has conjured up another story involving an Eels player to sell it's sad little paper...http://www.radiosport.co.nz/SportsNews/spleg/Detail.aspx?id=169225

  • Though they were right about Mason talking to the Storm which their CEO denied at the time
  • Don't be so coy Dan! One thing I've learnt in modern Rugby League is 'where there's smoke, there's fire'...and where there's a smokescreen, there's a fucking inferno!
    • Haha... true, Bourbs.

Although there is another saying going around in League circles at the moment... 'Where there's the Tele, there's bullshit.'

One correct headline in a million is not exactly a great record... but I must admit, they do get it right sometimes. And if any club were talking to Inu, it would be the Warriors.
  • I guess time will tell us whether there is any truth behind the rumour.

I actually prefer the Tele to the Herald. Their rugby league coverage lacks a lot of credibility a lot of the time. Plus, the Tele gives you the option to comment on their stories.
    • I read the Tele too... they have a knack for getting hold of League stories no other paper does, which makes it entertaining. Whether they are always 100% true, or even worth reporting on, is a different story.
  • Just for clarification, I wasn't defending the tele, especially that waste of space Wilson. Was commenting more like Bourbs said, anytime a Club makes the effort and comes out with a public annoucement they are not/were not chasing a player it's sure to be a pile of manure! Rumours usually have some basis to get them going
