Apparently his father in law is head of recruiting there. If figures are true which I highly doubt then the old man is looking after his daughter very well.
He would have family support over there and even if he wanted to return to Sydney closer to his family or in Brisbane who helped him, a happy wife would be better option. Glad we are out of the race. We need to fix our middle defence and discipline and Lodge isn't the player to do that.

Yep happy wife is more important. I mean, look, he still gets to play footy and travel with his mates etc doing what he loves. But taking the cash from the father-in-law is what will keep the wife happy and at the end of the day that's all that matters for peace.
Wow, I thought Parra were Dumb in terms of what they offer players, But this is just absurd. They continue to do it though the warriors. For a million a year you would be expecting this player to lead you towards a premiership. Lodge will never ever do that as a player. Just WOW
Wow - I hope the Warriors sign him pronto! No way would we compete with that offer. This works well in our favour either way.
a) Weakens the Broncos of another good forward - WIN b) The Warriors spend their cap on another player and reduce what they can offer Dylan Brown - MASSIVE WIN
Might be the media sensationalising a few things and the reality is the difference in the NZ & Aus dollar I presume though...
Interesting point you make their Clint about the Aus/NZ dollar, the thought of the dollar rising and weakening etc has never crossed my mind regarding the Warriors and their contracts.
I wonder if they get paid in NZ dollars or Aus dollars? Might seem a silly question but with a salary cap based around Aus dollars it would make sense for everything to be in the same currency.
I couldn't give you a correct answer to be totally honest, but I assume they would be using NZ dollars and the cap would be in Australian. They just get a little more when it's converted.
I had to talk about this. Our second rowers are complete and utter usellessKautoga:Is going backwards gives away to many penatlys terrible defence to many errors.Tuilagi:same as kautogaand matterson, lane and Cartwright are not any betterAll the…

Seems like massive overs .. Is Brian Smith still over there? He’s lost the plot if true..
Gee whiz, good player but doubt he's worth that much.
I hope we aren't trying to match them!

That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in term of recruitment...... If true
Worth no more than 500k
We have Paulo on 750k. Lodge would be around 800k. That’s just the market nowadays.
