He had poor positioning on those catches, the bombs go high enough he has enough time to get under them. But the defenders needed to do a better job putting kick pressure on Clearly. It's a team game and they left him out dry.
he's never been the most coordinated unit. At the ground those bombs were absolutely freaky though moving all over the place.

He doesn't need to be replaced, he just needs to spend a good part of the coming week training under the high ball.

I think this is completely unfair. They were cracking floating bombs with Waqa under plenty of pressure from the Panthers.
Pretty much everyone has been singing Waqa's praises since he moved to the wing and now that he had a bad night he has suddenly become the Eels biggest issue again.
The Eels got beaten fair and square tonight and Moses going off was the icing on the cake. The Eels were righ in it until then and we have proved that we can beat them and 2 from 3 isn't bad. It could be 3 from 4 in another 3 weeks time.

I have seen origin and international quality wingers have trouble with kicks like the ones Cleary was putting up.
My issue is why the fuck was no one putting pressure on him and allowing him all the time in the world to get the perfect kick away. Our line speed is and always has been shit under the wonder coach.
He is so intent on chasing the collision in attack, maybe he should look at trying that same strategy for the defence as well.
Where was the players shepherding the ball to allow Blake be under less pressure as well. A good week at training and Blake should be fine. They need to teach him the technique of facing backward so if he drops it, it only goes back. Also Gutho needs to show much more responsibility and try take those floaters if he can because he is good under them.
