Hi All, I saw this posted in a comment by someone on another site. As we know Ferguson has not scored a try this season. Three reasons in the main for that. 1. we bunch and crush the sideline often when attacking that side of the field, 2. Waqa seems to be unwilling or unable to pass to Fergo 3. Waqa often cuts back inside for the above mentioned reasons.
I know Fergo had one game at centre which was not his best, but that was one game.
I actually think this suggestion might be worth a bit of an experiment to see if it improves our attack and defence the right side of the field before we hit the semis. Might iron out some of our issues.
Thoughts?

At least give an explanation as to why?
If Fergo was scoring tries would you even ask the question ?
Yes, becasue it is not just about tries. It is about the overall flow of our attack, creating more options. Outside of that, it is also about our defence.
Well, the last 3 weeks our right side defence has definitely been better, and that is down entirely to Waqa Blake being much more disciplined with holding his line together.
Our attacking issues down our right side are because Mitch isn’t playing as straight as he was early in the season. I don’t believe switching Fergo & Waqa addresses this
Yea Moses runs to horizontal and rarely runs direct to square up their opponenets so eventually we run out of room causing Blake to go inside rather than a futile pass to Fergo. So if we fix up the shape and running game of Moses, that side will flourish better. If you see Dylan Brown he squares up his oppositions so well causing the overlapp. Moses should learn from him. Their defence has been improving which is good. We cannot expect them from going to piss poor to superb defence in a couple games. As long as their defence is improving together, that side defence will soon become solid.
Start planning now to to replace fergo when due. Maybe even get a better centre then waqa
Sorry Slugg. Don't recall seeing that. As I said, I saw it suggested in a comment on another site.
lol.
I think Fergo should remain on the wing but I also like the idea of him mixing it up with some plays inside at centre and even a bit of a floating role.
Some might remember we actually tried this with Fergo in a few games when he first came. From memory he even chimed in all the way on the left for a try assist.
Fitness might be an issue and it might be a bit much to ask considering he basically plays front row inside our 20. Worth it for a trick shot though surely.
Lately opposition teams have been maning up on Gutherson on the left and seemed to have worked out how to shut down d browns favourite two plays, those being run or a short ball to lane. Don't get me wrong these plays can be great but not a bad idea to mix it up.
Dont get me wrong there is certainly evidence of trick shots being trained into them e.g. the Dylan Brown fake play hiding out on the left wing. After all I'm not being overly critical of a team currently sitting nicely in the top 4.
