Walker Brothers.

There are a lot of members who want BA gone, I am not one of them. If the Eels do let him go I think the Walker Brothers would be a great fit. Their abstract throw the ball atound style of play would suit Parra perfectly. Thoughts?

  • Offer them a job next year, even if BA stays they would make great assistants

    • Sounds like an interesting idea

Try before you buy and would complement BA well

  • Come on , let’s be serious., they fluked one year
  • They won't the broncos job just wait to see if I'm wrong but I would be happy if we got them

  • Don't know about the walker brothers but that's the one obvious difference between us and the other teams... We don't throw the ball around!
Do yourself a favour and google eels 2009 highlights and you will see us playing off the cuff footy. Fantastic!
  • I love their football philosophy and would love to see them get a chance at Parramatta, or any other NRL club but I doubt they will ever get the opportunity. NRL clubs are way too conservative! Most coaches refuse to even take short kick offs or drop outs unless they are in the last few minutes of a game when they're desperate for quick points. They are a valuable tool if used thoughtfully and not on every kick off or drop out.  Keeping the ball as long as possible during each tackle by moving the ball continually and so tiring the defence is a good tactic. The safety at all cost that pervades the NRL drives me batty with its predictability.

  • I think it's he top coaches would come up with simple game plans to shut them down. I still think BA will turn it around, the only concern is we've only nailed one quality player. And by the telly crap we are happy to loose a few. BA needs the quality coaches he had in the past, he needs the drama to stop at the front office.
  • I'd love to see it... if for no other reason that it's a bit left field... something totally different. Provided a sound defensive structure exists, I'm all for something more ad lib / throw the ball around attacking structure. Be a great change from the boring crap we watch week in and week out now.

  • Would certainly be interesting and entertaining. I doubt the club would take the risk though. It would be a gamble for sure
  • seriously i dought any coach could of done much better than arthur this season .with the roster we had . maybe improved a couple of spots up avoid the spoon . but no finals footy. we had not 1 origin player. poor roster .
