They are broke right now, but it's the money they are banking on coming in from the 2025 Lions Tour & the 2027 RWC, plus selling off 20% of RA's commercial income to private equity. For RA, the next 5 years is their last shot at relevance in this country. The NRL woukd be best advised to batten down the hatches, ride out the storm and let RA blow the inheritance a second time, as they inevitably will.
There would definitely be some talent in the 7s who could transition to league like Miller has. At least the 7s players actually know how to tackle one on one and can run more than 1 metre at a time

Yeh I get that but I'm not so sure. Rugby Australia isn't flush with cash. In fact they're broke AF. Only a few special players get the big bucks.
