Hey guys and Gals,
Yeah its the orf season but just want to congratulate my eldest boy for getting the final conformation that he was successful in being selected for the state futsal team. They will be playing the best from around the country and the Solomon islands in January down in Canberra. Not bad for a kid that has been away from the game for over 4 years and being called for the trials. He is even being looked at but the best mens team in NSW premier league to play there next year. This tournament is a chance to be looked at for the Australian side as well.

Congrats to your boy, I'd be very proud of him too.
Futsal is a very popular sport in Oz and around the world played by thousands, to make a state team is something to be proud of.
Wishing him a great tournament and wishing you happy dad, a very merry Christmas.
Thank you mate. He will give his best. And to be noticed for such a tournament after being out of the game for 4 years is a show of his willingness to succeed. a merry xmas to you and the family as well mate
Congratulations to your son. You must be a very proud dad. An early Christmas present.
4 years? wow, that is a great comeback effort. One of our technicians is a current Australian deaf soccer representative, he was away from the game for 3 years and I saw how hard he worked to get back into the team. He's now the caption of the team, we are very proud of his achievements.
Young people who can apply themselves to reach a representative level in any sport is a reflection on their general character, our young tech runs rings around much more experienced technicians, he has a results driven mind set for success that can't be taught.
I'm certain your son excels in more than just sport.
Very good reports from school and now has an apprenticeship as a carpenter and from yr 7 - yr 12 sportsperson of the year. Not bad for a kid that only started rep football at U/15 after I coached him for 10 years and was told park footballers are not good enough for rep football. Also plays U/20 in the NSW PL during the winter
That's what happens when you have such a supportive dad.
