Clive James died last Suday and his funeral was on Wednesday in England. The media is listiing his achivements and qualities which were many.He is recognied as producing some of the best work in English literature as well as being a hit on TV in comedy. James was born in Kogara, Sydney. He achieved homours in English at Sydney university. He has been recognised as an intellectual. What is not much known about him is that he was a Rugby League fan of the great St George club during their record breaking grand final wins.He only rarely mentiond this. He must be the greatest intellectual to follow Rugby League.
I think all league fanwill regreat his passing. It was said in the media that it was James request that his ashes be spread across Sydney Harbour. An Aussie to the end.

Very funny , down to earth bloke. Seemed an"every man "type, loved Australia, remember watching his shows he will be missed l
Clive was a very witty, likeable and supremely intelligent Aussie who, although he lived most of his life in England, never lost his Australianess.
I used to enjoy his show, Saturday Night Clive and other tv specials very much and I have missed his special brand of humour in his declining years.
May the Kid From Kogarah RIP.
