Hey there, i saw this today and thought it would be appropriate to blog. I checked first and it has been approved to be added here. Valance plays SG Ball and also made rep NSW this year. His mum passed away recently of cancer and the club has been helping to assist and this fundraiser has been organised.
These times bring us all back to earth i think and we hope the family can get some great support they need. I know the club has been very helpful to the family.
Thanks Mitchy.
Condolences to Valance and family, all the power to them to have the strength to move through these tough times.
Cheers mate; yes tough times for them no doubt.
Hope the family get the support they need during difficult time.
Fake, mate i checked for myself as I didn’t want to post anything without approval from the club etc. i understand what you mean but it wasnt an issue.
It was unauthorised so had be removed before approval given couple days later to post it. Problem being event had passed. I work for govt tho so explains the stupidity of situation I mentioned
There was a news item last week on this young man, I did not pick up the full story though as I only pricked my ears up when it was mentioned he was an eels jnr player. I must have missed the reason for the event that was on the news and right up now my condolences to the whole family for their loss.
Valance was interviewed and spoke really well and there were a lot of family and friends at the back yard get together, islander songs and while the aspect of sorrow was there so was a celebration. At the conclusion of the news item it showed a large group doing what would have been a farewell haka.
With young men like this and the family as shown, its a great example for all people & not just Islanders either.
agreed on that Col.
Thanks for the link Parracards. nice to watch again.
