Eels winger Vai Toutai leaves club after allegedly glassing Rebels bikie who ‘vowed to exact own revenge’AN NRL player will face justice bikie style after allegedly glassing a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang.Parramatta Eels winger Vai Toutai is believed to have broken a glass over the man’s head during a night out in Sydney’s west in early December. The victim is understood to have vowed to exact his own revenge after refusing to press charges when police were called to the pub.Toutai and Parramatta ‘mutually terminated’ his contract with the club. Picture: Mark EvansIt is not clear whether Toutai has approached his victim or other gang members to apologise. The confrontation was said to have been provoked by a comment made by the bikie about one of Toutai’s close relatives.Parramatta released the Tongan international from his contract this week after police attended Eels headquarters earlier this month to report the incident, which occurred on December 9.Eels officials confirmed they had been informed about the incident. The club issued a statement revealing Toutai’s contract was mutually terminated after the club launched an internal investigation.“The Club is aware of an incident that took place in December, 2016, and, as per our normal protocols, we kept all relevant stakeholders updated throughout the entire process,” Eels spokesman Josh Drayton said.It is believed the Rebels member vowed to exact his own revenge after refusing to press charges.“This included the NRL integrity unit. The club and Vai Toutai have agreed to a mutual release from his contract and he will not be with the Eels in 2017.”Toutai requested the release from his NRL contract after the club instigated an internal investigation and informed the NRL.The club agreed to the request and did not investigate the matter further.Neither Toutai nor his manager Daryl Mather were available for comment yesterday.

    • Let's not wish for that. No one deserve to die at 23.
    • I thought something similar mate. These kinds of things don't just go away. It's kind of kill or be killed.
  • Silly silly boy, what a disappointment! He stuffed up on so many levels.
  • Wohoooooo finally we will not see this guy play first grade!
  • He's always had feet for hands but soon it will be in a literal sense...
  • I'm shocked that Vai was able to hang onto the glass long enough to glass anyone.

Old stump hands won't be missed.

    • lol, the one time he hangs on to something costs him his career.
