"I don't think it would matter who Parra is playing today, Penisni 100th game, Dylan brown goodbye game, Moses Lomax putting hand up for Aussie side and Ryles demanding good performances from his team. Eels should blow them off the park "
"I've got a bad feeling about this game. "
"I think earlier in the season, the players weren't yet familiar with Ryles style. It takes time. That cost us earlier on"
"As we saw with the desperation of the Titans yesterday, avoiding the embarrassment of being the worst team will be a big factor and Newcastle will treat this as a gf"

The average length of career for someone who plays 1st grade Rugby League is only 50 games. Only a small percentage of players are in the game long enough to make decent money. I personally know 3 former NRL 1st grade players who all had careers cut short, 2 from injury and the other from mental health. 2 of these players represented City in the City vs Country origin, the other played international Rugby league for Samoa. 1 of the players who played City origin was considered one of the best players in his position and he is one of the youngest player to play first grade at only 16 years old. Not to mention he was a front rower. The player im talking about is Adam Ritson. The other 2 are far more recently retired. I can confirm that all 3 players didn't finish with much money at all. They are all working regular jobs now to get by and have done so soon after Rugby League finished for themselves. I would argue that Rugby league is the toughest, hardest sport in the world and the players should be paid accordingly for their involvement. Two of the highest paid people involved in NRL are Andrew Abdo and Craig Bellamy....... Neither take the hits the way the players do.
They just got knocked back til at least June 2026. So September 2026 start, like planned, is practically impossible. That will hurt.
Nrl looking at throwing bans onto players and agents who break contracts to leave for it to, good news for us and Lomax situation 😂 if players off contract they can go tho
The Nrl isjust talking tough...and they are full of shit
The players and agents will have none of it Eli and will tell the nrl to shove it right up their arse.
The nrl will then shove that idea right up their own arse and cry about the unfairness of it all, then tell us it doesn't matter anyway because Nrl is stronk and the bestest and most bigly ever and very very very entertaining
That would require the NRL to change all contracts players currently have. Currently, contracted players or only not allowed to negotiate with other Rugby League clubs before November 30th the year before their contract ends. Negotiating with another code is not restricted at any time. The only way the NRL can prevent their stars from leaving is by putting their hands in their pockets and as an addition to players contracts with their clubs, give them an additional contract with the NRL.
It's not even a question if R360 has that sought of money to give a player you'd be mad not to at least take a serious look.2.2 a season for Haas goodbye nrl and I don't think it would be that hard of a decision either. No doubt the rugby will be soft as fark.Nothing like the AB springbok test last night. An injury or HIA break every other ruck maul scrum or lineout.
How many kids is Haas supporting again with both parents in jail.
