Good luck creating a sustainable league with this format. The players will take their paychecks for a year or two, and then disappear into obscurity. Really hope it doesn't happen.
Besides paying huge salaries, I don't know much about it. What's the format?
There would potentially be huge audiences in South Africa and Europe.
Could be like Super League in the 90s or it could be the next big RU competition. Probably the former, but who knows?
If the money being reportedly offered from R360 is correct, anyone that says no is crazy. Anybody, in any line of work would surely take 2,3 or 4 times their current salary for doing approximately 30% of their current workload without hesitation. The problem NRL clubs have is the restrictions on players talking to rival clubs within the NRL doesn't restrict players from talking to rival codes. The November 30th date means nothing.
If R360 takes off, the NRL's expansion plans for the next 5 years couldn't have come at a worse time. Another option does nothing but increase the amount clubs will need to pay players. The upcoming TV deal is so important for the current young players coming through the juniors. One million dollars per season could become a standard deal with the marquee players earning two million dollars plus per season.
Would have to assume the game would be far easier for haas to as I'd assume the majority of the players are low level rugby players. He can flatten blokes for 2.2 million 😂

I think if Haas can win a premiership with the Broncos either this year or next, a move to another code would become even more appealing. I haven't really looked into exactly what R360 is proposing with format and rules. Either way, if an NRL player has a chance to earn 5 or 6 years salary playing NRL for 2 years with R360, saying no would be very difficult.
Seriously, good on them but personally I could not give a fig; the NRL have more issues with grasroots kids playing and building the boys game; and spreading the talent again to have two more teams will continue to weaken the comp.
You will see fringe first graders overpaid / clubs keeping and paying so called 'stars' on overs.

Go back 10-20 yrs and here were a lot.
this is going to hurt the NRL a lot. A bit like the IPL and domestic cricket, if they pay enough the top tier players will sign up and other comps will pick up the dregs of top tier talent in the off season. It's fortunate a lot of NRL forwards dont make a good transition.
