Under the radar

Who else notices parramatta are not being considered a genuine title contenders .

For me this is great news as we don't have much pressure . What does everyone think?

  • I think there's a different kind pressure. Because we haven't proven ourselves consistently in big games, there are question marks in most pundits eyes. I think the real pressure is to fulfill our potential and answer the critics.

  • Well in fairness after last year we haven't earned the title of contenders most think we will fade away like we have before.

That will be the test making the 8 in a good spot and improving at the end of the season

  • I wouldnt say they 'under the radar' they seem to getting a fair bit of media coverage but mostly for good reasons. I wouldnt be surprised if the Grand Final this year is between the Eels vs Panthers. I thought it might have happened last year but it didn't and the Eels seem much stronger this year. Why, even Peter Sterling mentioned the other day let's just bring on the Penrith vs Parra Grand Final

  • Most 'experts' have us in the Top 4. They asked the question on Fox League after Round 4 and everyone (including Paul Kent) said definite Top 4.
I think the 'under the radar' piece is our lack of regular big scalps. If we go to Canberra and win there we probably won't be under the radar anymore.

  • I don't think we are genuine contenders just yet.

    • You know that there are a lot of  "misery bags " who love to post on this site comments similar to yours. I am sure you will be well received by them each time parra loses. However at the present time with 4 wins from 4 games , with respect , similar  comments are no brainers .

      • As stated just yet. I think Penny's, South's and Storm are playing like contenders. Eels are barking at there heels.

Let's see what we got against a top side on a dry track.

Not sure I'd put my hard earned for a 1/2 finish just yet.

        • Your last paragraph does not surprise me .

          • Gee Joey, helps coach twice a week, he thinks Penny's then South's, then Storm then Eels. Exactly what I was saying. Still 21 games to go.

            • Joey may well have tipped teams in that order, leaving Parra just behind those 3 teams to finish 4th , so not as to put a death wish on Parra . And another thing is he avoided sounding like he was biased by working with the Eels . But surely assuming he wants security of similar work next year  either with Eels or elsewhere , then why would he risk his reputation  by predicting Parra to win and they did not come up with the goods ? He will want some of the glory should eels play a grand final this year !! Anyway he is one of the worst tippers LOL !!
