U20's players to make step up

Now this is directed more towards ham, as he would know
but other than French, Twal and Fuimaono who else is the next to debut?

Denzal Tonise is the captain and could be handy since our hookers seem average at best now, but from his stats he seems to be more of a attacking hooker than a defensive workhorse

Jermaine Maiti-Lefi is a prolific try scorer and can kick goals, could be a future back-up like Faraimo or Toutai.

Jack Morris from his stats looks like a work horse and could be a surprise bolter for next year.

That's all I know for now but I could be wrong on all three. I would love to know

  • The other three you listed have potential but they're all long-term prospects with no guarantee of making the grade.

Troy Dargan is the one outside of our young 'big 3' to keep an eye on, as he's already made the step up to Wenty and performed solidly without being great.

  • Our best hooker (released recently)has consistently been man of the match nearly every week for the bulldogs since his move.JOEY TRAMONTANA!
  • There's a lot of other people that know about the 20's than I do but thanks for the compliment.

As Ricky said Troy Dargan is the most likely outside of those 3.

Jack Morris is one that I've been hanging onto for a while. He's had some nasty injuries over the past 2 years but it appears he's shaken them off. He's running hard and tackling hard. Very much like our 2 current starting second-rowers. Needs to put a bit more effort in positioning in defence but other than that he looks like he could be a solid first grade player.

Tom Amone has really stepped up. He's running harder and his best attribute doesn't show up on the stat sheet. His selection of passes is incredible. He's put Twal through a few gaps this year. In the weekend he played the entire first half whilst Twal came off with only 5 minutes in the first half, really displayed a lot of stamina.
    • Tom's a fantastic young man too. He's a Wenty boy and they did a golf day a couple years back to raise money for his Australian schoolboys tour, and he's ridiculously polite and humble.

    • As you know Ham, I'm a huge wrap on young Dressler. I'll be interested in seeing him get a run in NYC before the end of the year.
Other than watching his development, I reckon Dargan has the potential to be an NRL player.
As for Fuimaono, I much prefer him as a back rower than a centre.
    • Why second row for fuimaono sixties?well you and BA are the only ones!players player for the junior kangaroos at centre and his preference.he will debut as a centre, this you can be sure.
  • He looks like he's dropped some weight. And although we're getting some decent punch off our current bench I really think Steve would add another dimension taking over Tom's ball playing role.

When speaking to Burty he said he was giving the SG ball players that have moved up a month of "pre-season" training. We may see them playing for the Owls before we see them in the NYC.

"Love this one, I think we will use this design and the captains run short from this season to refresh our Home jersey for 2027. We will also have a new away too, hopefully Adidas have a look at us and produce something very special. "
