Does anyone know anything about the rumors of him wanting out of Parra?

  • From what I've heard, they're made up.
  • have not seen him play so I don't care

    • Great logic.
  • has a 10 year deal with GWS if he can get a release from parra

  • If he's only playing NYC and not NSW Cup i don't rate him.
    • He's 19 and he's played about a year of Under 20's. He played for the NSW and Australian Under 20's team this year. He's also made numerous rep teams in the past: 2x Under 18's Origin, 2x Australian Schoolboy, NSW Under 16's.

    • Ham no offence to all the rep teams he played in but the players coming through now are nowhere near the schoolboy and rep teams of the Hayne, Folau and Hindmarsh era. Not even close to lesser players than those guys, even an inconsistent fringe first grader like a David Williams who at the moment is struggling to break back into Manly is two steps in front of him. It's not his fault though it's just the rapid decline and neglect of juniors.
  • Tyrell is a very good player in my view; have seen him come through Matts. I am surprised if we would let him go; can play back row and centre.

    • Maybe not next year, he has a few things to work on in defence but in attack he's a machine. He makes approx 160 metres per game (There's only been 2 games where he hasn't made over 100 metres even in his last game he made 150 despite going off injured with 10 minutes to go). He also has some quick feet before the line and a nice offload. So he definitely has the work-rate and at 188cm and 95kg he has the size for first grade. Will probably be on the fringe of first grade in 2017. I'm hoping we can bring him through the centres.

      • Thanks for those stats mate. Perhaps the new focus for the club will be the transition into NYC. Quite strong performances in Harold Matts and Ball aren't translating as they should into NYC results. Consequently we are seeing some players once touted as potential stars not making it as a senior player, either at Parra or elsewhere.
As for Tyrell, his stats and performances indicate that he will step up in the next couple of years.

"I think Braith respects Ryles as a coach and what he's doing at Parra and obviously believes Lomax did the wrong thing, listened to poor advice and brought this all upon himself and did the wrong thing to Parra"
