Two days on

Rightly or wrongly part of our own identity is connected with this team we all love.

I tried to explain to my Mrs who isn't into footy that when we lose like this and a dream ends - we feel the loss and the injustice deeply

Laugh if you like but personally I feel less whole at times like this because I wonder if our turn will ever come again and will we ever stand that bit taller again.

I get sick and tired of ppl putting shit on our team and by connection us supporters - we get called chokers and under achievers and just written off

I'm very grateful for everything I have in my life and I know this can sound extremely self indulgent but I'd just like for parramatta ppl to get the chance to feel like winners agsin.

Two days on I've digested it and moving on

I'm very proud of the way our team and coach represented us over the weekend - with heart and courage and dignity.

Best wishes to all

    • X a billion brissy

all over my sons socials was the same messages robbed robbed

I wish I was like you embers but I'm the opposite ( funny that 🤣🤣) I deal with things better by staying angry for a while ( us scorpios are way too passionate for our own good )
I'll simmer down eventually but the eels is my happy place for half the year 😭😭and the ref/ nrl took it away prematurely and unfairly

shit in a box deluxe coming their way 🤔🤔😎

  • It was in no doubt before the finals series kicked off that the NRL wanted a Melbourne v Penrith GF replay. They couldn't get their way after Penrith shat the bed against Souths, so they employed Klein and the bunker on Saturday night to make sure it happened in the Preliminary.

It concerns me when V'Landy's is so open to refer to Rugby League as 'entertainment', and he has not once referred to it as 'sport'. Every year we are seeing more and more cases that games are not decided by the players on the field, but by the refereeing decisions.

    • "Entertainment'. That is it right there,  when quizzed about Rugby League Greenberg also said to paraphrase , we are in the business of entertainment. Has been that way for a while now

  • I agree 100%  with each and every comment so far.  I too get every shitty meme, text, voicemail you name it. I am yet to receiive one this tiime because they know what should have happened and didnt.

If you asked me at the start of the season what I wanted beside the obvious it would be to have a team that was RESPECTED, ADMIRED and ACKNOWLEDGED for being tough, fair and professional.  I think we earnt that.  When Melbourne wins the comp in 2 weeks time it will be always there for the record books that we defeated them twice in the comp and remain IMO the only team that could have goot them in the big one.

Nice to get the wave of support and acknowledgement.  Boys earnt that.

  • Mmm it is a joke , i remember bill harrigin sending 5 parra players off way back , I've encountered it so jany times since , i honestly believe there's corruption , it is so blatant and untill it changes but i dont think it will we will suffer

  • I know the feeling,  I totally get it.

Guys, we need to move on from this loss. Many of you are torturing yourself by constantly going over and over the events of the game that didn't go our way but should have. Good teams overcome these issues and prevail, we can take comfort in knowing our team is now at that level,  I have no doubt we win the game if we had either mahoney or lussick available.  Two good wins over the storm and two narrow losses against the panthers shows us we have arrived as a premiership threat.

Dust yourself off, we will be back.

  • Many ive spoken too are saying its  lost its soul basically , 80s were spectacular, 90s got good , 2000s had core values , slowly declined to this , let Sterlo and Wally Lewis  and gould run this game. With Joey and Freddy  , sounds silly but imagine they'll make it better .

    • Not to forget about last century ofgood ol days

  • I think we lost our chance at giving this season an almighty crack when BA continued to leave JA at halfback. I don't know the machinations of what happens within the Team structure, but personally,I think that's what changed the whole season for us. Yes, JA deserved a chance and he showed he had potential in his first game but wasn't ready for the bigger games ahead due to his inexperience and youth.BA persevered with him which I felt was a mistake at the time as we needed a player with more experience such as Smith and I think this unsettled the team and we lost a few points along the way which we dearly needed at the back end of the season to finish in the top 4 but by then, the horse had bolted. The Team showed in their last 4 games, even though we lost 2 of those, that they have courage, heart, ability and plenty of Love for Parramatta,Ba,and the Jersey to reach the hights needed to beat the Top sides such as the Storm and Penrith. We must congratulate this almighty effort by all the Players,Coaches and administrators of this Great Club of ours and look forward to better times ahead.
