Were the Gods with us tonight? Hardly, with a penalty count 10 to 5 against us--this according to Andrew Voss to whom I tuned into once I got home from the match. What God would give us that referee Kline? He was at his hate the Eels syndrome all night. He has done it before and will do it again. A pox on him and his hate. The Gods are facing their twilight. I am not, because my Lady Of The Lake turned up tonight after missing a performance. She has been down to Melbourne to watch the Eels against the Storm!!! A true believer indeed. Tonight she was Isolde to my Tristan, Brunhilder to my Siegfried, the Rhine-maiden searching for the golden magic ring. I looked into the sky and thought I heard a scrap of " Here Comes The Bride" You will know it as the Wedding March from one of The Wagner`s operas I mentioned above. But I was surely dreaming and wanted nothing but the match for my attention. The last five minutes were great and ghastly at once. We had won! She then turned to me and demanded a kiss!! This with he husband looking pleased with the proceedings no less!! Before I could comply with her demand she planted two kisses upon me. Not ,you will understand, on the lips, but upon the cheeks! So pleased were we with the win that we made plans to meet at ANZ stadium next Monday night when the Eels play West Tigers. So fans, do not think of the final eight think of the match against West Tigers. I f you do, you too may see a stranger across a crowed room and have a night like I do at the football!

That was a great dive from Chirssy. There were some harsh calls on both teams. I'm just glad the better team won in the end ;)
I don't know about the Gods all I know is that once the game gets to the 60minute mark the Eels enter THE TWILIGHT ZONE - a very scary place indeed

But tried hard to blow it in the final quarter....but mercifully the match ended before they did (this time)

PS :- Like that kid that likes pull the wings off fly's for entertainment value, then lets them go instead of killing them.....maybe the Football Gods got bored with torturing Parra this week and decided to pick on somebody else for a moment or two LOL
tele1 I hope you are right that the Football Gods are now picking on someone else. Why don`t they pull the arms off the refs and sew their mouths up and do the game one good deed?
