Turning Point of the Season

Today's loss will probably be the one that motivates us and we'll start playing good like last year hopefully. Last year the game against the Sharks was similar and we then recovered and started a long winning streak 1 month later. Thoughts?

  • Cant play much worse than tonight! Just dont seem to lift for teams that struggle to win games let alone cronulla wjo can hardly score any points!
  • Fucking joke!
Sick of this crap we serve up when we should win
  • we as fans deserve better performace you would think first loss would show some passion
  • might get shot down for this, I mean obviously no excuses, but a physical match on a thick track may have taken a lot out of our boys, also in my opinion the bubble was going to the burst sooner or later, and albeit against the sharks.

Just one last point, take the most influential player out of any side and a team is going to struggle. I'm not saying we are a one man team, but losing an important player can cause players to lose confidence.

Think about that before you start saying the same old complaints every time we lose
    • We definitely missed Hayne tonight. His aura brings so much confidence to the team.
  • I thought the turning point was the 2009 grand final?
  • which team wouldn't miss Hayne, with fullback being one the most versatile positions in the game now. Althought thought Tommy Humble had a very solid game at the back, although thought he could've done better for the sharks last try. But good game from the guy, looks to have loads of potential, hope he gets the right chance in the team.
  • more excuses
we lost to the sharks again - thats 3 times straight and twice at home
and still people here make excuses
    not good enough
  • I doubt this is a turing point, but I think the loss highlights quite bluntly the areas we need to improve on.

Our D I think has been quite good this year, but we do lack line speed for long periods and our edge defence is questionable on the right mainly. However without Tahu, both edges were poor.

I have not seen any crtsicism by fans of Reddy. Reddy is a good player, but he is not THAT good. I think his peformances in D have been questionable.

Tahu is no chance of playing next week. His ankle will not recover in time and most likely will miss a good 5 games if he plays all SOO matches.

Our edge defence as a result is a big concern. I would move Ben Smih back to the centre while Tahu is out. Wright deserves a go at centre as well.
  • Mortimer should hand over half of his salary to Hayne beacuse it's obvious now that Hayne makes our halves look better then they are.
